This sweet boy did SO GOOD when he was left alone for the first time yesterday! 💕
I think he will be ready for his new home sooner rather than later. I want to leave him home for longer periods of time before I officially say he is ready to go, but if you’re interested, please text or call 839-839-5178 so you can come meet him! He will be free to a good home, but I will be “picky” about the home because he deserves an advocate!
Do not reach out if you have small kids or small dogs. He isn’t mean to them, Just isn’t comfortable, which is understandable and it’s my job to make sure that is respected for his safety.
He does incredible with dogs his size and I’m sure bigger. Loves larger kids, probably about 10 and up.
Requirements:
-He suffers with pretty bad separation anxiety, so preferably work from home, SAHM/W/D/H, or retiree.
-Must be willing to install a runner with a lead (I will show you my set up during the meet and greet) unless you plan to leash walk/run him only…. He does not have an ounce of recall. He will jump the fence or dig out and run. This is info I’ve gathered from several previous owners and from my own experience 😅.
-Must have at least 1 other dog close to his size, that is kinda playful. He likes to rest, but he also likes to play. But he definitely HATES to be left alone and HATES to be kenneled. I’ll also show you why I say that when you come to meet him.
-Home visit will be required also.
Adoption will include free boarding for his whole life for him and his new siblings, as well as free doggie day care for him for long days away from home so he doesn’t have to be alone 💕
When adopted, this will be documented in the paperwork, as well as an agreement that he will be brought back to Goodwin Farms in the event that he doesn’t work out so that we can continue the search for his perfect home, no judgement or fees, just appreciation for trying to extend your love to him!
