Today’s Car Fact — The Birth of the Lamborghini Brand
Did you know Lamborghini exists because of a disagreement about a clutch?
Ferruccio Lamborghini was a successful tractor manufacturer in Italy and owned several high-end sports cars, including Ferraris. Frustrated with recurring clutch problems in his Ferrari 250GT, he complained directly to Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari dismissed him, saying he should stick to making tractors.
Insulted, Lamborghini decided to build his own high-performance sports cars — and by 1964, the Lamborghini 350 GT was born, starting a rivalry that would shape automotive history forever. 🐂🔥
