Sale on 6G72/6G74 billet oil pump gears this week only!

The OEM oil pump gears have a tendency to shatter at high rpm and/or high power. This will instantly ruin your engine from lack of oil pressure, requiring a full rebuild and thousands of dollars worth of repair.

This billet crank car is going to need all the drivetrain strength it can get, so we took the time to REM treat the transfer cases gears and do a full performance rebuild on it. Setup the backlash and preload for maximum strength.

We do not like to install camshafts without degreeing them (part of the reason we pulled this motor to do the heads and cam install, which turned into a lot more.) VERY hard to degree one of these in the engine bay.

I had a smaller wheel and went to a big one, ALMOST too big. Had to put some spacers on the back to clear the power steering bracket, but we made it work. The bigger the better as far as accuracy goes. A little boring of one of the included spacers to make it a tight fit on our crank bolt and off to the degreeing of all 4 cams.

Its a good thing we know these engines well enough to check the bearings if you have the pan off. Crankshaft shop is pretty busy, so adds a little time, but they are able to save this with a polish. Much longer or during the tune I am pretty confident this engine would have spun a bearing.

Sorry, we have been just too busy to post much. Couple more transmissions for 3sx, a FWD unit we are doing a full rebuild and a Quaife front L*D for, and for kicks a Ford E4OD we are building for a local.

Finally, we have a certain Jamaican blue car that is getting a major wheel and tire upgrade and powdercoated 2G brakes very soon.

Anthony Dunning did it again with these valve covers!!

The R'VENGErs are doing the rest and I couldn't be happier with how its going. Taking the time to sandblast and detail each rusty part takes more time, but the results are worth it.

We are going to degree the cams in a couple days and put the oil pan on and this engine is going back in!

FYI,

These reverse gears and hubs in sliders are due to be at our shop at the end of the month, a little behind schedule but we are very close. We are going to hold this price until they come in and our tariff bill (these are made in the UK) comes with them. I have done the estimating on that, but if it is a lot we may need to raise the price on these.

The 6 speed is notorious for reverse damage and over half the units we receive do not have good enough reverses anymore and we are out of core gears as well.
