It was a long weekend but late, cold, rainy Sunday night, but we got it done race fans! We changed out the reel in the fishing pole.
We took out Dad's motor, and blower #2 ,so they both can go to the motor builders to be freshened, and insert our motor #1 which was repaired/rebuilt and freshened by William A. LaRue and Royal Pain Motorsports (RPM) in Ballston Spa, NY, and blower #1 that was freshened this summer by SSI.
This is the motor we broke in Addison VT at the end of 2025. We dropped a lifter and grooved the cam shaft pretty good, and it turned out it also had a crack in the crank, and some of the connecting rods. Very lucky we did not make the 2nd pass on it in Addison that day, it would have made things much worse!
Sooo, lots of new parts; the crank, rods, lifters, barings, cam shaft, ect.
We will need to adjust the timing a little, but she is ready for the 2027 NYTPA season. We will put a couple test passes on her this month, to break her in starting at The Harvest Havic in Ballston Spa October 10th (hope to see y'all there)!
Thank you Jon Dietzel and Keith Kupiec for all your help this weekend it, without you guys, we could not keep doing this
