🚨 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONALISM MATTER 🚨

This black Jeep came to Grimeaway Autoworks after an overly aggressive wash with an improper chemical/surfactant ratio for the finish on this Jeep, chemically compromised the finish, leaving the paint dull, stained, and severely damaged.

Unfortunately, we also see similar damage caused by fly-by-night “detailers” who lack the training, experience, and understanding required to work on modern automotive finishes and especially protective coatings.

The reality is this:

Owning a pressure washer, foam cannon, garden hose, and shop vac does NOT make someone a professional detailer; Any zoo 🐒 can wash a 🚗

Modern paint systems are extremely sensitive and require real knowledge of:
✔️ Chemical safety and compatibility
✔️ Proper dilution ratios for the type of grime and surface (here’s where PH scale knowledge should be basic common sense to “detailers”
✔️ Safe wash and decontamination procedures
✔️ Paint correction methodology
✔️ Clear coat behavior and limitations
✔️ Surface protection systems and their limitations

One improper chemical or careless process can create thousands of dollars in damage within minutes.

Let’s clear something up…

If your “ceramic coating” needs to be reapplied every 6 months—

It’s not protection, it is NOT a professional grade coating product!

It’s a maintenance product, UV protection and some limited hydrophobic properties, longer lasting than carnauba wax, we provide this complimentary with every traditional detail at our shop! Yes it is complementary!

And there’s nothing wrong with that…
as long as it’s being explained honestly.

The problem is when it’s sold like a long-term ceramic coating or paint protection solution.

Real protection systems are designed to last, they chemically bond with the paint. They should Not have to be reapplied over and over throughout the year.

That’s the difference and most people don’t find out until after they’ve already paid for it and dog slobber or whatever eats through the sealant and etches the paint! I seriously can not make this up!
