If you’ve followed me for very long you must know I have a thing for these MX-5 Miatas. Especially this NC generation which ran from 2006-2015. They are to me the very best generation of the model. Insanely reliable. Virtually unbreakable. Surprisingly comfortable. Beyond affordable and incredibly fun. Here we have a top of the line model from 2007. A Grand Touring edition with the rare and sought after power retractable hardtop.

This particular example is absolutely one of the cleanest, most well kept MX-5’s I’ve seen in a very very long time. A prefect leather interior (with heated seats), crystal clear headlights and a scratch and dent free exterior. Finished in its original Galaxy Gray Mica paint which gleams with just enough metallic.

At 166,630 miles, these are one of those cars, especially as babied as this one has been, that’s hardly a blink of an eye. This one is just broken in. Fresh oil change, all four struts and front sway bar links. Hit one button, put down the top and drive anywhere with a smile.

What’s in the name? The Plymouth Fury nameplate lasted decades. 1955 to 1989 to be exact. Its original namesake was named so as to lend to its aggressive, tail fin design and its high performance capabilities. By its 4th generation (65-68) it took on a more traditional look, using the slab sided Chrysler C Body designation. Here we have a gorgeous Fury III convertible from the year 1966.

Finished in its original shade of Light Turquoise with a black bench seat interior, you and 5 of your closest friends can ride in rare style this summer. Just 4,326 Fury convertibles were produced this model year.

Under the hood is the venerable 318 ‘Poly’ V8 mated to a column shifted TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Both of which perform flawlessly.

A super straight, rust free, clean car. Lightly restored several years ago but zero signs of any major body work ever. This is absolutely one of the nicest mid 60’s Mopars I’ve ever seen.

When Nance Marquette walked into Reilly Motor Company In Gloucester Massachusetts in August 3rd of 1965, summer was nearing its final weeks yet Nance wasn’t about to give up on summer. She soon drove off the lot in this snazzy new, Astro Blue Skylark convertible.

She didn’t want the labor of hard steering or brakes so she opted for those to be power assisted. Crank windows? No thank you. She took the model with power windows. Air conditioning? Nah, summer was almost over and that’s what the power operated convertible top is for. No V6 for her. She wanted what everyone was taking about, a V8 under the hood. Nance must have been a character. She’s no longer with us but her old Buick is and here we offer it for sale to its next caretaker.

Lots of previous receipts. One from the 1980’s detailing the body being removed from the frame for frame restoration, sandblasting and paint. A fully documented engine rebuild from 2013 illustrating the 300 ci engine being fully disassembled and rebuilt. An older restoration surely but one that’s held up pretty well. This is a fantastic, reliable and turn key driver. Ready for daily summer use just as Nance would have wanted.

While evaluating a couple of upcoming vintage consignments, I couldn’t help but notice this rare Ram Rumble Bee being used as the owners daily transportation. It’s also for sale so I thought I’d offer it here. It’s kinda cool and kinda rare. Valuable? Not so much but still interesting and unusual. Just 4,645 Rumble Bee editions produced in 04. This is # 2264. Just 92,129 miles. 5.7 Hemi V8. No dash warning lights. No engine noises. No exhaust manifold leaks. No rust on the rockers, doors or 1/4 panels. Clean undercarriage too. Cold A/C. Just a fun, short bed, standard cab truck with a Hemi and rare Rumble Bee package.

SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK. I sold this beauty about a year ago. Now the buyers health circumstances required him to sell. It’s too nice of a car to pass up so it’s back at OCG. Looking, running and driving as good as ever and once again, looking for a home.

Restored by the president of the Nash Club in the mid 1990’s to absolute factory correctness, this 1937 Nash Lafayette 400 is one of few surviving, especially in factory stock form. Most have been modified and or butchered to death. The 30 year old restoration was very high end and has held up amazingly well. Driven sparingly since. Mostly shows and parades. A true piece of Kenosha history (The home of Nash Motors turned AMC)

Under the hood is the original and rebuilt straight six flathead putting out about 90 horsepower. That’s mated to a three speed manual transmission with floor mounted shifter. A very easy car to drive on a leisurely basis. Recent fluid changes, brakes, a battery and the addition of a steering stabilizer for easier handling. Just a fantastic car overall. AMC declared the 1965 Classic one of the ‘Sensible Spectaculars’ when the 65 models were introduced. Not sure the dads out there whose daughter may have dated a guy with one of these would agree (see pics). Anyhow, we do have a spectacular offering here.

With just 58,444 miles on the odometer, theres little to argue with about originality on this one. Wearing most of its original Barcelona Taupe and Frost White paint and inside hiding a gorgeous matching original fabric and vinyl, this car just screams 1965 sensibility.

The original owner got a little jazzy by checking the option box for the 287 V8. He or she also opted for the automatic transmission, power steering, Rambler labeled vanity mirrors and accessory lights. Oh yeah, spinner wheel covers too!

Their sensibility came into play when they added the air conditioning and front seat belts at Sears after the fact. They weren’t going to pay those exorbitant factory option prices. This car was very obviously well loved over the years and even more so very recently.

New under the hood is a rebuilt transmission, carburetor and alternator. Also, a brand new dual master cylinder, brake cylinders and hoses. A rebuilt wiper motor and a brand new timing chain (just because of age). This Rambler is completely turn key and ready to go.

GARAGE SALE! Just traded and needs a new home. One of just over 500 Town & Country package convertibles produced for 1986. MSRP on this car new was $18,678. I believe that was more than a 5th Ave at the time. Anyway, the fact this has survived as long as it has means something. I don’t think Chrysler expected this.

I’ve owned more of these 80’s 2.2 turbo cars than I could ever count. They’re like snowflakes. No two run exactly alike. I will tell you that this particular car runs the best and smoothest of any I can recall. It’s a fantastic running car that just completed a three hour road trip consisting of mountain, highway and stop and go traffic and it performed flawlessly.

Sadly. a recent owner neglected it cosmetically. The original black paint is faded in spots and suffers from some tree sap damage (the hood). The convertible top works great but showing its age for sure. All four windows go up and down and the aftermarket stereo works great. The a/c is DOA. No tares on the Mark Cross leather seating but has age discoloration. This car is what it is. Fun and inexpensive. The undercarriage, a soft spot on these is VERY clean. Obviously someone’s pride and joy at one time.

Built like a German tank, this 1985 Mercedes 380SL has been its past owners pride and joy and it shows. This car runs and drives like silk. Classic white with a beautiful navy blue leather interior. A two seater with both tops. A V8 under the hood and all the bells and whistles you’d expect. A very nice cruiser for someone that enjoys and understands the experience of a vintage German car experience.
