性能上這顆4.0 W8 DOHC 32V multi-point fuel injection的引擎在原廠的設定下擁有275PS的馬力與370Nm的扭力 讓她能在6.8秒從0~100公里. 就算在十多年後的現在這樣的數據還是讓人眼睛為之一亮. 外觀上即使經歷了16年的風風雨雨這台PV W8還能呈現出那麼美的姿態真的看的出車主對她的愛也能看出汽車美容師傅的功力.

With this 3,999cc W8 DOHC 32V multi-point fuel injection engine, straight out of the factory she has 275PS and 370Nm of torque. It only takes 6.8 seconds to reach 100 form a stand still, and a top speed of 250km/h. These numbers impress most people even after more than a decade has gone by. After been on and off the road for 16 years this PV W8 can still be this clean and beautiful, one can tell how much love the owner has for her.

VW Golf Country 翻新 Update I

任何車輛在經過30年的使用後或多或少都會有零件耗損的情況, 這台Golf Country當然也有著一樣的命運. 經過評估和討論後這次Country的翻新工程裡包含將引擎卸下進行整體的翻新工程. 首先將整顆引擎分解拆開做除油和除鏽的清潔後我們量測與掃描了所有的零件, 我們會堅持花時間這樣做一來是因為這些數據可以幫助我們確認要如何修復這顆引擎到達原廠設定的規格 二來也是一個很重要的原因就是這些老車已經會面臨到有錢也買不到零件的窘境. 所以我們當我們手上有這些數據後就不會再有買不到零件的情況發生了. 當然引擎內部所有需要研磨修整或需要更換的消耗品都一次全數翻新完成後 引擎的外觀我們也要讓它像是剛從原廠組裝產線出來時一樣.

Even though this Golf Country have been well taken care by the owner, but any vehicle been on the road for 30 years will have wear and tear on its parts. After a thorough evaluation and discussion with the owner, MSG decided to rebuild the whole engine. After removing the engine we clean it thoroughly so we can have an accurate measurements and scanning data for all the parts. These data will help us to see what we need to do to get this engine back to the original factory spec, later on down the road if we couldn't buy any of the parts we can even make the parts with the scanning data our self. Of course after disassembled the whole engine we polished all the necessary parts and replace all the consumable also. With the engine performance back to its original factory glory its necessary to make it look like how it was first rolls out from the assemble line too.

Volkswagen Golf MK2是一台大家都耳熟能詳的經典小鋼炮, 但是講到Golf Country 可能就不是台那麼多人知道的車款了. 它是一款由奧地利公司Steyr-Daimler-Puch 與VW合作生產的中度越野車. 他們將Golf MK2 的車身拉高車體強化後加上四輪驅動系統讓Country的越野功能更加的強大, 在外觀的部份除了明顯的車身高度不同外前後防撞護欄和後尾門上的外掛式備胎讓人一看到就知道她不單純!

每台Golf MK2都已經是曾祖母等級 平常要在路上看到她已經是件很難的事了, 加上Country只限量生產了7,735台, 要在台灣見到她一面更是難上加難!!! 而今天出現在MSG的這台Country真的可以看的出車主對車的愛真是強大. 車主歷經了千辛萬苦才到手了這台1991年豪華版Country, 為了要讓她能順利的走過下一個30年 車主委託MSG更新與重整許多本體與零件. 例如完全重整引擎, 變速箱和差速器…

當然要整理一台30年的限量車款並不會是一件容易的事情, 光是零件的取得就已經是困難重重. 因為Country很多零件取得不易 從確認零件開始只要能夠找到正確的零件不管是在國內購買或是花更多的時間與金錢從國外買料只要是買的到的都算是幸運的, 但最怕的就是遇到已經不在生產的零件…… 這時候只能用盡各種方法來產出符合需求的零件來替代. 例如從引擎接水箱的上下水管與熱水排的水管, 因為它們與原廠Golf MK2 的零件長度與角度全然不同. 所以MSG找到適合的橡膠管彎到正確的角度後中間再用不鏽鋼管做延伸來替代年久力衰的原廠管. 傳動軸套橡皮也年邁力衰, 一樣面臨找不到零件的窘境, 還好MSG有精通德文與英文的工作夥伴藉由波蘭同好網友協助, 利用賓士W124軸套外殼, 更換軸心培林來打造適合的零件.

Volkswagen Golf MK2 is a well known classic compact car that was mass-produced 6.3 million units between 1983 ~ 1992, but Golf Country is a totally different story. Based on the Golf MK2, the Golf Country was co-manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch of Austria. There was only 7,735 units ever made, she was designed for medium off-road driving. Internally they reinforced the body by adding skid plate for protecting the engine area, sub-frame to protect the rear end and then plunged-in a Syncro four-wheel drive system to help conquering the off roads. On the exterior, beside the obvious increase of 21 centimeters in height, bullbars at the front and rear with an externally mounted spare wheel on a swing-away triangular frame completes the whole go anywhere rally look.

Its not easy to see any Golf MK2 rolling around the streets now a days, its even harder to see a Golf Country rolling in Taiwan (in fact there are only two in Taiwan right now). So when we see this Golf Country here in MSG we can tell that the owner have lots of love for her. It was love at first sight when the owner saw this 1991 Golf Country, to make sure that she can keep going for another 30 years the owner asked us to do a full restoration for all the mechanic parts.

To restore a 30 years old limited edition car is not an easy task, let alone doing it in Taiwan. There are parts we couldn’t find in Taiwan so we contacted different manufacture around the world, but it became a nightmare when the parts are no longer in production! For example, there are three water pipe connecting from engine to the radiator and the heater were no where to be found since their spec were totally different from the original Golf MK2. So we had to fabricated the rubber hose to the exact angles on each end and extended it with a stainless steel pipe in the middle to make it perfect fit in the engine. The transmission shaft rubber housing faces the same dilemma! Thankfully we at MSG are fluent in both English and German, found a Golf Country enthusiast in Poland, he told us its possible to use a Mercedes Benz W124’s rubber housing and convert its center axle and bearing to replace the old parts.

在Midnight Sleeper Garage不管是客戶的任何需求我們都會努力的找到最佳的解決方案。 針對這台全新的2019 Jaguar E-Pace First Edition，客戶要求的是隱密性與美觀兼具的隔熱紙但是在晚上開車時的視線也要清晰。 所以我們請了業界超高水準的施工團隊合作，針對客戶的需求使用了Deno Super LEX GE-55在前檔 GE-33在駕駛與副駕的兩側讓客戶就算在晚上亮度不高的環境下扔然能有清晰的視野。 在剩下的五片玻璃上則是使用GE-11來提高隱密性。 在施工上 從無氣泡網點處理和不超過1mm的隔熱紙切齊玻璃邊可以看的出施工者從打版，烘紙，切割到貼紙中不偷工減料且秉持著注重所有的細節的工法讓成品實用性高又美觀。

At Midnight Sleeper Garage, we try to give our customers the best solutions possible for all their automobile needs. For this Jaguar E-Pace First Edition, owner wants to have the window tinted dark enough for safety and a clean look but at the same time it still have to have a clear vision at night. To meet the customer’s demand, we used Deno Super LEX GE-55 for the front windshield and GE-33 for the front two side windows to get the clear vision. As for the rest of the windows we went with GE-11 for improve privacy and clean dark look. You can see the attention to detail when there are no air bubble even on top of the printed dots of the windows and the less than 1mm film gap from the edge of the window.

在Midnight Sleeper Garage 我們希望能夠給顧客的是一個全方位的服務. 有遇過進廠保養換機油交車後沒多久換電池沒電的窘境嗎? 在MSG, 165是個有特別的意義的數字, 無論是新車, 二手車或古董車, 只要是車第一次進到MSG我們都會安排做165項的入場檢查. 從前保桿到後保桿中的21件外觀件到134項的機械件我們會仔細的一一檢查. 其實光是做這些入場檢驗就需要約5小時的時間, 所以只要您給我們足夠的時間MSG絕對不會讓您在開車的時候有那些不悅的驚喜發生.

At Midnight Sleeper Garage we hope to provide a comprehensive service to our customers. No matter what kind of car a customer bring to our garage, MSG will give it a 165 item full car inspection when it arrive for the first time. From the 21 pieces exterior body parts to the 134 mechanical parts, everything in between the front and rear bumper will be inspected. Customer will be given a full report, so there won’t be any nasty surprises once it left the shop.

Midnight Sleeper Garage我們對車的愛促使我們對任何跟車有關的人, 事, 物的細節裡鑽牛角尖務必達到完美. 以這張由Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4取下的椅子為例. 有些人可能為了欣賞它的美把它擺在房子裡的一個角落當做一個藝術品, 更有愛的人可能會把它改奘成辦公椅來坐. 但是在MSG 我們當然不會就此滿足, 有發現到椅子下方有掛著一顆電池嗎? 沒錯, 既然它是車上時是電動椅當然要讓它在辦公室裡持續的多方向伸展.

為了安全考量MSG優先將安全氣囊取出後再將整張椅子的皮革與朔膠件清潔後好好的保養一番. 但因LP 560-4原廠椅的角度很容易讓人陷入椅子裡不方便辦公用, 所以MSG雷射切割後折板出一個客製底板來外掛一顆電池讓這張LAMBO 原廠賽車椅不僅僅是一個藝術品更是一張舒適又實用的辦公椅.

At Midnight Sleeper Garage because of the love and passion, we aim for the best solution for any thing related to automobile. With this Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 factory seat as example, some people might just put it in a corner of a room just to admirer the beauty of it, some with more affection may even convert it into an office chair. But at MSG we don’t stop there, have you notice a battery sitting under the seat? Yes, it was a multi-directional power seat in the Lambo of course we got to let it be able to stretch in every possible direction in the office also.

For safety reason, we took out the airbags before we clean and refurbished the whole seat. With the characteristic of a bucket seat, it is not as comfortable as the normal office chair when it tends to sink you into the seat. So we laser cut and build a custom bracket to make this Lambo seat as beautiful and comfortable as we can for you to enjoy.
