Forgestar Performance Wheels 的鑄造延壓技術是一個可以讓輪圈同時兼備輕巧以及強韌這兩樣特性的獨特技術. 這個特製的過程由低壓模式鑄造開始,接著使用特殊機器來旋轉啟動鑄造的工作,接著加熱外框並以鋼輪儀器對輪圈本體做一個加壓以及拉扯的動作直到輪圈達到最終所需的幅度標準.
綜合了加熱,加壓以及旋轉製造出來的輪圈本體擁有相似於鍛造輪圈的強韌度.
由於輪圈在鑄造延壓成形的過程中,加壓的動作實際上改變了輪圈本體的機械性質,所以她的強韌度以及耐撞值都可以媲美鍛造出來的輪圈,不但如此,這個技術讓該輪圈合金的粒狀結構成為往同一個方向流動的線型,這個粒狀結構模式結合了高品質的鑄造過程,讓輪圈有著大幅度的機體韌性及延展性.
有著這樣機體特性的成果,Forgestar 可以藉由降低輪框的厚度來保持輪圈的輕巧性但又同時的不失輪圈原本應有的耐撞度以及強韌性, 因此, 這個技術使我們Forgestar的輪圈比其它鑄造輪圈減少了將近15%的重量.
