Hello colleagues, it's been a while since the last time I posted something.

This time I'd like to show you a representation of a Heat sink (or thermal module). This kind of heat sink is used in servers, which commonly them CPU can get power from 300 W to higher than 1000 W.

This thermal module is equipped with seven heat pipes, which can transfer the heat from the copper block, which is in contact with the heat source, to the stacked fins. Finally, the heat on the fins is dissipated for the air, which is flowing through the system.

This case involves the study of a steel block of 300 x 500 mm that is heated from 0 deg C to 120 deg C. Before it being to be heated, 10 CFM of water at 25 deg C flow trow a 1-inch inner pipe to cooling the block. Drawn and simulated in COMSOL Multiphysics.
