RUBY 53 brings the comforts of life seamlessly to the sea.

With a thoughtfully designed layout, stable cruising performance, and refined craftsmanship, every journey aboard feels effortless and comfortable.

RUBY 53 features three cabins, two bathrooms, a separate salon, and a fully equipped galley, designed to meet the needs of cruising, anchoring, and extended stays at sea. From the flybridge and fore and aft decks to the interior spaces, every area has been carefully planned to balance comfort, flow, and practicality.

Powered by twin CAT C9.3 diesel engines, RUBY 53 reaches a top speed of 21 knots and cruises comfortably at 12-15 knots. Combined with a stable hull design and reliable performance, she delivers a comfortable and dependable experience whether cruising along the coast, island hopping, or embarking on longer voyages.

Before a new yacht is delivered, it must first prove itself at sea.

A sea trial is an essential stage before handover, typically carried out two or three times, with each trial serving a specific purpose.

The first trial allows the shipyard to verify the yacht's structure, propulsion system, and overall performance. The second is the owner's acceptance trial, where the owner and surveyor carefully inspect the yacht and confirm that every specification has been met. If any significant issues are identified, repairs are completed before a final verification trial is conducted.

During each sea trial, engineers evaluate engine performance, maximum RPM, oil pressure, cooling systems, steering response, onboard noise levels, navigation equipment, and other critical systems.

Every hour spent at sea is about one thing: ensuring that when the yacht is finally delivered, it performs exactly as intended—with reliability, safety, and no surprises.

In the time-honored tradition of yacht launching, a bottle of champagne is broken against the hull to bless the vessel with safe passage and smooth sailing—and to mark the moment she officially meets the sea.

This time, Ray, the second-generation leader of Grand Harbour Yachts, personally carried out the ceremonial bottle-breaking, offering her blessing to the all-new RUBY 53.

As the champagne shattered against the hull, it not only continued a long-standing maritime tradition, but also opened a new chapter for RUBY 53.

From design and construction to the moment she finally met the water, every detail reflects the owner’s vision of life at sea.

Have you ever noticed that most yachts are given female names? It’s no coincidence. This tradition has deep roots in maritime history.

• Many Indo-European languages treat ships as feminine, symbolizing protection and care.
• A yacht shelters those on board, much like a mother protects her family.
• For generations, sailors also named their vessels after their wives, daughters, or loved ones, giving their longing a name that could sail with them.
• Even today, new yachts are often christened by a female sponsor breaking a bottle of champagne over the bow which is a tradition that wishes the vessel safe voyages and good fortune.

為什麼船身要標示船名背後有幾個你可能沒想過的原因。
一、法規要求
依台灣《船舶法》規定，船舶必須在船身標示船名與船籍港，才能合法航行。國際上，美國、歐盟等主要航區也有類似強制規定。
二、緊急救援辨識
海上發生緊急狀況時，救援單位透過船名與 AIS 自動識別系統，第一時間確認船隻位置與身份，是搜救作業的關鍵資訊。
三、海關與港口通關
跨國航行時，港口管理機關以船名與船籍港核對入港資料，沒有標示清楚，可能面臨通關延誤。

Handrails and table spacing are details you won’t find in any shipbuilding manual. Even how colors appear under sunlight isn’t decided by intuition alone.

Ray grew up around shipyards and yachts. Years spent running on decks and staying inside cabins didn’t just become memories—they became a sense of scale his body remembers.

What height feels right for a handhold? How far should the table be so it feels neither cramped nor empty? Will the colors glare under sunlight? Does the texture of the furniture feel comfortable to the touch?

At Grand Harbour, these details are verified one by one from the design stage. The principle is simple: only what feels right to use becomes worthy of delivery.
