its a good idea when driving in a new area to drive cautiously since you may not know where the holes and humps are. Depending on the size, abruptly going down in a hole or over a hump can throw off the alignment of your vehicle or even bend a tyre and rim.

different oils of your vehicle have different color variations...if you see drops of oil on your garage floor it might help to know whats leaking, if its golden brown to black its most likely engine, red to dark red transmission, or quite possibly power steering. if you have a manual vehicle oil leaks can be similar to engine oil in colour but if you look where the drips are u can tell if its from the engine or gear box. besides being dark in color gearbox oil has a metallic sheen.

defensive driving tip...when rain begins to fall slow down gradually and put on your wipers as fast as you can see properly, it is a good idea to put on your park lights also so other motorists can see you if its a heavy downpour, if your car hits a puddle and starts to pull toward it do not depress your breaks or you will end up in a slide, however release your gas peddle and guide your vehicle back to the lane you are in gradually, you can only control your vehicle if you have traction, more about this in the next post...
