Those who know me , know that I do not vent on social media but I see the need to do so today. I am no key board warrior. This is with regards to a post circulating by one Mr Hemant Joseph. The vehicle was brought in to replace a differential and convert the rear to disc brakes. The only part replaced on the existing driveshaft was the tail piece. That part was separated because it was a 2 piece driveshaft and the tail end taken to the machine shop(shown in pics) . The client was informed of a faulty center mount, I was told to go ahead and put it back up because it was working fine before. The vehicle was completed and arrangements were made to collect at about 10pm because I apparently run a 24 hour business. The customer then drove the vehicle from barrackpore to rock road to penal to debe and then took the highway and reached valsayn where I was told that the gear box broke. He contacted me and I instructed him to bring back the van. It was wrecked the next day and he told me that he drove in 2nd gear and only when he reached by nestle did he put in 3rd gear. Lol.Upon further investigation after removing the gearbox, mind you this had nothing to do with my work that was completed I realized that the diff was still intact. I took it upon myself to repair the gearbox and all cost was absorbed by me. The vehicle was again collected after hours and the same driving route taken. He got home to sangre grande and I was again called the next day claiming the manifold was broken, o2 sensor damaged, clutch slave cylinder etc.was damaged also.I was willing to repair the manifold and replace the other items out of my pocket. I also told him that welding the manifold was not a good idea (manifold came to my shop leaking) he insisted otherwise...I was also willing to reimburse him for his initial payment and my diff return which he declined saying that he wanted me to compensate him for work being done at another shop.. where is the fairness in this.. just because you did not get your way you chose to go on FB and discredit the reputation of my business..prompting unnecessary comments from other sources known and unknown to me...over 5 years ago, when your van came in to do an engine rebuild, where I took a non turbo engine and made it turbo and this engine is still working perfectly you had no problem then .. why did you not come on and talk about that...nothing positive only negativity gets highlighted...talking about poor workmanship when the vehicle came with 2×4wood blocks to lower the van..the entire geometry of the van was out...I am not a magician... but all in all thank you...the PM said to choose your men wisely, I say I need to choose my customers wisely...
