Heat Wave places first in Tobago Great Race

Heat Wave was the first boat to reach Tobago in the annual Great Race, edging Justified in an exciting finish on Saturday, August 15th, 2026.

Piloted by John Michael Sabga and Morgan Honnock, Heat Wave competes in the 80 mph Class E.

The race saw challenges for several competitors, with boats reportedly encountering difficulties and withdrawing from the event.

Despite a yellow-level alert, rough seas and expected bad weather, hundreds of spectators gathered at Store Bay, Tobago, to witness the festivities. — Story by I.A.N News
