BMW X3 G01 30e | BM3 Custom Tune Stage 2

Sam reached out to us regarding an issue with the OTS map. This is actually som**hing we’ve seen a few times now on G-series 30e platforms. The same issue also appeared on every car. All of them are related to OTS behavior on this hybrid platform.
In his case, the throttle became unresponsive in certain modes and would only work properly in Xtraboost. After driving for a while, throttle response could disappear completely. And on top of that, there was no pop & bang at all.
We went in and rebuilt the calibration of tuning properly around the hybrid logic.

Since the car is running a catless downpipe, we set it up as a Stage 2 tune based on 91 octane fuel.
The result is a car that now drives exactly as it should, powerful, smooth, responsive, and fully functional across all driving modes. And of course, burble (pop and bang) as requested.
After the final revision, everything worked flawlessly. No more strange behavior, no more surprises, just a properly sorted setup. Sam is happy, and that’s what matters.
Personally, I’d love to see Dragy numbers from this setup. An xDrive PHEV with electric assist plus cold Quebec air. This thing should be seriously quick.💨

Also, a small note from this past weekend.
It’s a Songkran holiday long weekend here in Thailand. I’m technically on vacation, but I still ended up tuning cars across almost every continent, from Canada to Taiwan, Egypt, Sweden, USA, and of course Thailand.
Looks like tuning doesn’t really stop, even on holiday 😅
