Did you know that the Bible reveals that there is someone sitting at the right hand of God, occupying a place of honour and authority in heaven?

It's about Jesus Christ. After his resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven and, according to Mark 16:19, he was received above and sat at the right hand of God. This expression not only describes a position of honour, but represents his authority and exaltation after having fulfilled his mission on Earth.

But the most surprising thing is that this truth had already been announced long before Jesus was born. In Psalm 110:1, David wrote: "Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies by the platform of your feet." Centuries later, the first Christians related these words to Jesus. Moreover, in Acts 7:55-56, Stephen, just before his death, claimed to have seen the heavens open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God. These words show the importance of the exaltation of Christ for the first followers of the Christian faith.

And there is something even deeper: according to Hebrews 1:3, after performing the purification of sins, Jesus sat at the right hand of the Majesty in the heights. For Christians, this means that death did not have the last word and that Jesus Christ reigns with authority. Therefore, when the Bible speaks of Jesus sitting next to God, it presents an image of victory, glory and hope for those who believe in Him.
