EVEN TOP FRENCH OFFICIALS.....admired this lovely Talbot-Lago by maestro Saoutchik, recently restored by us. It took place at the Paris Salon shortly after this stunner (the car, J. Saoutchik) won the award called Grand Prix du Salon for the year of 1950. It was the highest accolade, which made him instantly a thoroughbred aristocrat in the world of fine cars. AJ NAJVYŠŠÍ ŠTÁTNI PREDSTAVITELIA FRANCÚZSKA.....obdivovali nami renovovaný Talbot-Lago od majstra Saoutchika. Stalo sa tak na parížskom autosalóne tesne po tom, čo tento fešák (auto pochopiteľne, nie J. Saoutchik) získal cenu Grand Prix du Salon pre rok 1950. Bola to najvyššia pocta, čím sa okamžite zaradil medzi automobilových aristokratov. Nope, no joke for you this time, but a mere reality – three of our cars are being shipped to California right now, in order to be auctioned in August by Bonhams. All three have been selected as „preview lot“, which is a narrow selection of the best lots. The description says „exceptional restoration“. We agree humbly yet proudly.

Američan, Francúz a Talian cestujú spolu loďou, keď tu zrazu... Nie, nebude to žiaden vtip, ono je to totiž realita týchto dní. Tri autá od nás totiž cestujú do slnečnej Kalifornie, kde ich v auguste bude dražiť aukčná spoločnosť Bonhams. Tá vybrala všetky tri do takzvaného „preview lot“, čo je ochutnávka toho najlepšieho z celej aukcie. Keď sme pri popise každého z nich zbadali „exceptional restoration“, až sme sa červenali.

Beautiful Talbot that went through partial restoration - we painted the body (did also some minor body repairs), clean the chassis and had all rusty parts zinc-plated. We also gave to this beauty new upholstery and wiring harness.

We are very glad that we were able to bring back to life this legendary pedal car "Moskvič". Our goal was to have the same responsible approach that we have with restoration of our "adult" cars. Our little customer even promised that when he grows up, he will come back for a real one!

Sme veľmi radi, že sme mohli vrátiť život aj takémuto dnes už legendárnemu šlapaciemu autíčku nášho detstva značky "Moskvič". Našou snahou bolo o rovnako zodpovedný prístup ako pri renovácii "dospelých" automobilov. Veď sme aj dostali prísľub od nového majiteľa, že keď vyrastie, príde si ku nám aj po "ozajské"!
