Our #1010 Shopee & Lazada Sales Campaign was an absolute whirlwind, and I am so incredibly grateful for your overwhelming support. Even though several of our SKUs went out of stock, your orders kept rolling in stronger than ever. Your trust in me means everything. ❤️

I also want to be completely open with you about some behind-the-scenes hurdles. The ongoing global conflict has brought heavy challenges my way, making it incredibly difficult to secure consistent supplies. I’ve faced sudden order cancellations from suppliers and unpredictable supplier price revisions every 3 to 4 months. Despite this, it hasn’t stopped me giving 100% to secure stock for you.

For the past 6 months (since the conflict escalated in late February), I’ve done my absolute best to cushion you from these impacts. Thanks to our stockpile, we managed to absorb most of the rising costs and only made minor adjustments.

However, with continuous damage to major refineries, raw material costs have climbed drastically. To keep bringing you the quality you expect, we will unfortunately have to implement our first major price adjustment in the near future. We are monitoring the situation closely and will make real-time adjustments as needed.

Where did all the Shell oil go? 🔍❌

If you’ve lately noticed the shelves are completely wiped clean of Shell Helix, Pennzoil, or Rotella... you’re not crazy. There is a massive global synthetic motor oil shortage happening right now.

Here is the quick breakdown of what’s going on:
💥The Source hit: Shell’s main Pearl GTL plant in Qatar took critical damage earlier this year, instantly knocking out half its capacity. This is where the ultra-pure "made from natural gas" base stock for their premium lines comes from.
🚢 The Logjam: On top of that, regional shipping blockades mean the base oil that is ready can't easily leave the Persian Gulf. Blending plants worldwide completely ran out of ingredients.
📅 The Return: Shell is targeting late March 2027 (the end of Q1) to resume production, assuming shipping routes clear up.

⚠️ Pro-Tip: Do NOT skip or delay your oil change just because you can't find your favorite bottle. Running on dirty, broken-down oil will destroy your engine much faster than switching brands. Pivot to alternatives or check your manual for alternative viscosity options in the meantime!

The first round of Lynlex detailing samples has officially landed on the bench! If you know me, you know I don't believe in hiding our roots. These bottles are proudly sourced directly from China—the global powerhouse for advanced chemical manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

Let's talk real for a second. The detailing world has changed big time. With advanced reverse engineering, manufacturers can now replicate high-end chemical formulas with up to 90% accuracy. By using these methods, we get to strip away those massive, fancy marketing markups so you get the shine, cleaning power, and protection you actually want, but at a fraction of the price.

So, what’s the game plan?I’m officially putting this whole lot to the test! I’ll be playing around with the formulas, doing some fine-tuning, and adjusting them to fit our exact needs. Think of it as adding that special Lynlex secret sauce to give you the ultimate bang for your buck. 💰🤙

Since early 2026, we’ve been trying to grow the detailing side of Lynlex by introducing a new brand. Long story short—it caused us massive headaches, all thanks to the local agent. Most of you already know that I prefer sourcing our products through parallel imports. Dealing with local agents usually means cutting through endless red tape, and honestly, it’s just not viable for us.

Don't get me wrong—we still want to support and work with local teams, but it has to be a win-win situation for both parties. You can't run your own retail promotions and leave your resellers stranded. There are times when a supplier's promo price is literally lower than our cost, making it impossible for us to offer the same. I personally kanna this with a supplier many years back, and it's frustrating to see that this toxic practice is still happening across other brands today.

But out of all these challenges comes some amazing news! I'm hyped to announce Lynlex Detailing, which we’re aiming to launch by 2027—if not sooner.We really want to build out our detailing portfolio and offer a massive range of brands.

Our goal is to be your one-stop point for everything you need. Let’s be real: no one buys all their gear from a single brand. By bringing all the best options under one roof, we're making your shopping experience as convenient as possible.

A surprise development right before my trip to Automechanika has shifted our immediate plans. Following a fruitful discussion, we are keeping our future options open. Due to contractual terms, the manufacturer stepped in—proving how forcefully local agents protect their turf against competition, even in a small market like Singapore. I have presented our side of the coin to expose the true reality of our local market.

We always do our absolute best to bring you the latest and newest developments; that is exactly how we keep healthy competition alive. We don't act like children on a playground, running to complain when we can't win.

While I understand the friction this caused between Lynlex and the maker, the manufacturer’s team has been incredibly genuine and generous. Out of respect for them, we are moving on for now and ending this chapter on a high note.
