* Rental Start Date: 14 January 2026

A named driver (**Soh Khai**) was initially added but was later **removed from the contract at the hirer’s request**.

# # # 🚨 Incident Summary
On **18 January 2026**, we were informed that our vehicle was found in a **severely damaged / total loss condition**.
Our team attended the matter and proceeded to the hirer’s stated residence at Punggol East. Estelle’s mother informed us that she was not present and just asked us to contact the authorities. Seems that she has been through this before a few times.
Due to the seriousness of the situation, we engaged the **Traffic Police**, who attended and assisted. We thank them for their assistance.

# # # 🚛 Vehicle Recovery
* The tow truck had reportedly dropped the vehicle at the barrier entrance of **Synergy@KB (S417800)**, where **further damage was sustained**
* CCTV footage at the location was sighted by attending officers
* We subsequently retrieved and towed the vehicle back to our premises

# # # 📹 Key Findings (In-Car Camera Footage)
Upon inspection, the in-car camera was still running.
Findings include:
* Collision occurred on **PIE towards Changi (Toa Payoh area)** on **16 January 2026 at approximately 8:33PM**
* The driver involved was an **unknown individual**, **not authorised**, and **not covered under our insurance**
* The vehicle appears to have collided with the road barrier and sustained major damage
* Attempts were made to reverse the vehicle after impact
* After vehicle impact, it flipped the camera facing them, showing all their actions, va**ng, continuously driving without informing us, eating nachos in the car after the accident, obviously too high
* The vehicle was subsequently driven to a petrol station at Jalan Afifi
We have submitted all available footage and information to the authorities.

# # # ⚠️ Serious Concerns
* Vehicle driven by **unauthorised driver**
* **No insurance coverage** for the driver involved
* Failure to provide **driver identity or cooperation**
As of today, the identity of the driver remains **unknown**.
If this incident had involved other road users, the consequences could have been far more serious.

We were informed that due to the absence of third-party reports or witnesses, the case is currently not actively pursued, and we have had to attempt to locate the hirer independently.
Despite efforts, **full cooperation has not been provided**, and key information remains undisclosed.

We strongly urge:
* Do **not allow unauthorised drivers** to operate rented vehicles
* Do **not drive under any form of impairment**
* Exercise responsibility on public roads
We also encourage relevant authorities such as the Health Sciences Authority to continue addressing illegal va**ng concerns and check with the driver in the video.
