‘Top up coolant’ message appearing on your 2020 Mercedes-Benz A, B, GLA, GLB, or CLA-Class?

You may continue driving to your destination as long as the coolant temperature stays below 90°C.

In many cases, the leak originates from the coolant thermostat housing and adapter.

The photos show a GLB200 with these components replaced using original Mercedes-Benz parts. After the repair, specialized computer software is used to properly bleed the cooling system and ensure no air is trapped.

When the hybrid system ‘gives up’ the dashboard will start throwing error message: “Hybrid battery system malfunction.”

Once that message appears, you will feel inconsistency in power, fuel economy dropping faster and can even affect the brake efficiency.

So we got to work at MJ Automobile. Seats out, flooring up, and there it is: the old hybrid battery pack sitting quietly under the rear row, worn out. A fresh Toyota/Lexus genuine pack went in, high-voltage cables inspected and secured, software calibrated. And just like that, the car woke up again.

A healthy hybrid battery makes a massive difference in daily driving and most importantly ensures your own safety.

A lop-sided Mercedes?

We had a Mercedes GLE in the workshop this week with one side sitting noticeably lower than the other, a common sign that the air suspension strut has given way.

The air suspension strut is what keeps your ride smooth and level by adjusting the height and cushioning automatically. When it fails, you will feel every bump and the car may lean to one side and cause damage to other undercarriage components.

We replaced the faulty unit with original Mercedes parts, and after a ride height software calibration, the GLE is now back on the road with maximum comfort!

We just gave this Audi A6 a full suspension makeover, swapping out tired old parts for fresh ones to bring back that smooth, quiet ride.

Here’s what was changed:
🔧 New upper and lower control arms for sharper handling

Customer was notified with a ‘Refill Coolant’ warning message.

🔍A pressure test was done and coolant leakage was found in some of the hoses. But our mechanics did not stop there. Upon closer inspection, they detected other hoses that were discolored - a red flag that the hoses were worn out. This suggested a need to replace the hoses before they start leaking.

🔧The hoses were replaced and the bleeding of the coolant system using advanced computer software was carried out.

And... the car is ready to go! 🚘

⚠️Is your temperature gauge creeping up? It might not be just low coolant level! ⚠️

💦 Water pump keeps coolant circulating through the system to maintain a safe temperature.

🌡️ Thermostat is a control valve that opens and closes based on how hot your engine gets.

If either part fails, even with enough coolant, your engine can still overheat—and that can lead to serious damage.
