No, not the 𝓾𝓼𝓾𝓪𝓵 type of problem where car insurance is $80 or $100 more expensive than last year. Those are very normal (which we can help with). But we mean those extraordinary ones.

How about the cost skyrocketing 🚀and is now $1000 or more increased over the past year’s car insurance?

Or maybe you have been declined ⛔by the current insurer and this year, they are saying they will not cover you for the coming year and treat you like you are ☢️?

Or even because they just deem you too young to have an exotic car?

You have done a search and it seems there is no way out?

Why is this happening? There are several reasons why this happens, and some of those we encountered have these in common, increased risk to insurer and they no longer want to take on the risk in the coming year.

If any of the following happened, insurers can decline to cover your car for the following year:

❗An accident where the claim is significant and large

❗Several smaller incidents where the claims may not be large, but happened within a short period of time

❗Accidents, most of which you may not be at fault, but within a three year period

We can help you, and we are human. We promise no chatbots, no press #1 for English #2 for Chinese, and *1 to return to the main menu. Our WhatsApp is answered by a real people. We to listen to your problems and provide real solutions. SG Cash N Cars.

Should car insurance be difficult to buy? Are you being rejected by insurers for renewal or told your cost is high because of age? SG Cash N Cars can help

We have been helping our customers renew their COEs since... A long time ago. And even for us, who see this all the time, whoa, did COE cost only this amount last time??! (See picture of LTA receipt that is generated during every COE renewal we do on the system)

This pic shows a five year renewal so the price, and would be double if it was for 10 years. We do have somethings to say about 5 or 10 years renewal. But a little more on that later...

ꜰɪᴠᴇ ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ ᴀɢᴏ, ᴀ $40,000+ ᴄᴏᴇ ʀᴇɴᴇᴡᴀʟ ᴏɴʟʏ ʟᴏᴏᴋᴇᴅ ꜱᴇɴꜱɪʙʟᴇ. ᴛᴏᴅᴀʏ, ɪᴛ ʟᴏᴏᴋꜱ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ "ᴛʜᴀᴛ'ꜱ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪ ᴡᴀɴᴛ"!

Today, recent Category A and Category B premiums for July’s second bid are sitting at about $126,000 and $129,890 respectively, and for the current month, the renewal price (also called the PQP payable) stands at $125,646 for Cat A and $127,835 for Cat B for August 2026.

For customers who used SG Cash N Cars for COE renewal five years ago, that decision now looks exceptionally well-timed. They did not just extend the life of a car they already knew and trusted (i.e.: not buying used and finding unsolved problems and maintenance issues); they effectively locked in a much lower COE cost before premiums surged to today’s six-figure levels.

But only it was renewed for 10 years! You can go to our website, search for “renew for 5 or 10 years” or talk to us about why it is financially more sound to renew 10 years compared to five years.

Put simply: a COE renewal at $40,000-plus then would feel like a super deal now!

Compared with current premiums, the difference is not small change—it can be tens of thousands of dollars. For many car owners, that gap could represent savings that help cover years of maintenance, insurance, road tax, or other household priorities.

At SG Cash N Cars, we can help you save, potentially thousands of $ when doing renewal of your car, but with that “special power” we have, still we cannot turn back time or return to the lower COE renewal prices from years ago.

However, car owners can still make smarter decisions today with our help. With the advantage of PQP monitoring—a service provided only by SG Cash N Cars. What’s that? See this: https://www.sgcashncars.com/car-loan-financing/best-coe-renewal-pqp-loan-interest-rates/what-is-coe-pqp-monitoring/

By tracking Prevailing Quota Premium movements instead of simply waiting until the month their COE expires, some customers just this year have saved five figures on their COE renewal compared with those who renewed only at the point of expiry. And we have proof of that. Speak with us and ask for real life examples!

If your COE is approaching expiry, this is the moment to review your options carefully. SG Cash N Cars helps car owners explore COE renewal solutions so they can make an informed decision before prices move again. Renewing with our help may not just keep you on the road—it could become the kind of deal you look back on and said “I am glad I did it the right way!”

This February month of 2026 will be a tight one for COE renewals under our care (due to Chinese New Year), because of what we do for our customers to ensure they renew at an *advantageous* price.

Why tight? Because of the dates of CNY and the super short month of Feb.

No one else does this price algorithm calculation for COE renewals but SG Cash N Cars, and if you're renewing your car, then a few thousands in savings (the commonly saved amount for these past few months) would be cash in your pocket!

How does it work? A bit more on what we do here:

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬’ 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. Are you renewing the wrong way?

Wait, got right and wrong meh? Just pay and renew isn’t it?

Well, the wrong way is to renew without having any idea when the right time to renew is.

So, you mean there is a right way to renew?

Yes, there is! Of course! No, it is not simply to renew on the last month, on the month of the car’s COE expiry. And that right way? It is to renew when you 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗢𝗘!

Is there a way to predict when it will be lower, at least with a reasonable chance of catching the low before prices are headed up? But wait, what if I renew earlier, forfeit the remaining old COE only to find that the price is going down?!

What a dilemma! But what if there is a company with expertise doing this exact thing for their customers for the past 12 years, with hundreds of cars renewed the right way, with a high degree of accuracy?

Having an expert on your side to guide and advice has been the reassuring comfort for those who entrusted their to us. With experienced professionals tracking COE trends, analysing the Singapore car market, LTA’s changing regulations, and providing timely recommendations, you will make an informed decision and potentially save thousands.

Instead of second-guessing, let us guide you on when to renew for maximum savings and minimal hassle. I mean, hey, most people are not even sure what process is needed to renew a car’s COE, let alone figure out when it is best to renew.

Hey, sorry we have been so silent over the past few months as we struggled with some issues with our office space maintenance and the management in this building.

We were flooded by what we now call “Mystery Water”, because we do not have any tap or pipe in our office.

But in the background, while that was going on, we still had the best interests of those who came to us for their car issues. And we worked for them while we picked up our damage with sweat, heartache and quite a bit of elbow grease. That is what we work towards for them, albeit a little difficult to carry out when our office would flood repeatedly.

Troubles; we all do have those rainy (and wet days) like the ones our office just experienced.

After the struggles to pick up broken pieces and carry on, we also had the need for cashflow to carry on.

For many people, when that happens, many would consider the option of selling their vehicle to get over the near-term difficulties, to tide things through. But what if the car is a necessity and not a luxury? Is there a way you can keep the car and get some liquidity to work with for your business, or maybe a medical need?

If you are a car owner thinking of selling your car to solve an issue, do reach out to us first. We can facilitate the selling of your car if you really wish, but more than that, we can give wholistic overview of your situation like we have done for some others who were in this situation to save you some pain.

What you get is a wider range of possibilities that you can explore before making a decision. Which is invaluable when you thought you only had one option.

Did you just miss the boat to renew your Cat B car at a lower price?

In the month of April going to May, it went down by $537. May PQP for Cat B was $114,249.

The price for June is higher than May 2025 by $2,696. June PQP is now $116,945. We cannot use May PQP to renew once it is June.

Sometimes the boat comes and you miss the ride, you need to wait for the next ride. But the issue here is, what if the COE does not dip again before your date? Then I guess you bite the bullet to keep the car. Just wasted thousands of dollars.

What if there is a way to do this, save those thousands and renew at a lower price than the stupid way of , simply renewing on expiry month?

We advised our customers with expiry dates later in June July to renew their cars in May. Yes, those who are scared to proceed will say there is a loss of the old COE, but all that is calculated and we advise them 𝓪𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓭 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 what the gain and loss is, and we make sure that we offset the loss from the gain and still get a positive financial saving.

But you're the boss, we just run our calculations to advise you. You can choose to wait if you wish, till a later month.

In Singapore, there this timing issue because we all know, that when the is lower, the price of a car can be 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙪𝙡.

So, how do we know when the COE is going to come down, or will it stay high? Hint: There are things that affect the COE bid price.

We do admit that all this also plays into how urgent your needs are, and when you wish to have the vehicle.

But if you had some time to wait and see, wouldn’t you like to know what factors affect the COE price of your future car?

There certainly are issues that affect the COE price, and just to name a few such as: COE Quota levels, number of vehicles being scrapped, new popular cars being launched and car shows that increase the demand and maybe, how about private hire usage?

For those looking for , a lower COE level also means that you can get another 10 years on your car at the right price. And if you got say 1 year or more to get the car renewed, these factors should definitely be something you want to look at.

In this article we look at some of these and more, and we found and interesting link between one of these factors and the COE level.

People have 𝔀𝓱𝓲𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓭 for the many years, will come down when we are headed into the elections.

Our latest round of just ended less than a month ago and what do we have? Did we see a steady decline in COE prices leading up to the election?

Low prices and low inflation tend to bode well for the incumbent party, so if the COE were down and general perceived prices were low, that would be exactly what the ruling parting is looking for.

Did that happen for the latest ? If you didn’t feel like it did, maybe you are looking at the bigger car category.

Did it happen in past elections?

After all, it affects all car buyers (your purchase could be cheaper) and owners (your vehicle resale value increases), so if there is a dependable pattern, maybe you could use it to your advantage.

Like try to sell it off months before election time while prices are still higher, and then buy a new car months down the road when election campaigning is going on. Maybe.

We take a look at this rumour, to see if there is a basis for it at all below 👇

Do the elections in Singapore affect COE prices? It's long been rumored the government brings down COE prices before elections. Let's see.
