LTA is seeking public feedback on a proposal to merge Cat A & B, with a new fee/rebate system based on car value.

Under the options being studied, lower-value cars could receive up to a $15,000 rebate, while higher-value cars could face up to a $15,000 surcharge on top of the COE price.

Consultation ends 2 Nov 2026.

🚨 New Average Speed Enforcement Trial on the BKE

Traffic Police will be trialling a new average speed enforcement system on Singapore’s expressways, starting with the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).

Instead of measuring speed at a single point, cameras placed at the entry and exit of an enforcement zone will calculate a vehicle’s average speed based on the distance travelled and time taken.

Vehicles found to have exceeded the stipulated average speed limit may be flagged for speeding violations.

A good reminder to maintain a safe and legal speed throughout your journey, not just near camera locations.
