April Double Header - Part II. After a satisfying night on Saturday, we prepped for a second session on Sunday with racing driver . A crowded session with lots of traffic, we really struggled to find a clean lap. Regardless, the tyres were in the window, validating our settings from the previous night.

Until Murphy struck - on what would have been a clean push lap, we noticed the right rear tyre was not increasing in pressure, despite rising tyre temperatures. Quickly pulled into the pits and confirmed a puncture, which cost us valuable running time.

Nevertheless, we managed a few consistent 2:30-2:31 laps despite traffic, and was thankful that the tyre held up well after patching. P2 in our class, P4 overall in a stock car - thankful and proud to represent .

As always, thanks to .sg !

April Double-Header, Part I - I only decided to participate in the .sg trackday at the last minute. I had already planned to be in Sepang that weekend, so when my friends said they were going to be at the TCC Trackday, I decided to join them! Have to admit it was an inspired decision, as I set my best time of the weekend on Saturday during their Segmented Hour (where drivers were allowed on track based on lap time, guaranteeing a clear track for a push lap).

The focus for this weekend was to optimise tyre pressures and temperatures, and we developed a run plan which was essentially a tyre test day. The car held up well, and the .sg RE71RS (not the RE71RZ, but still an amazing benchmark) tyres provided amazing lateral and longitudinal grip which gave me the confidence to push the limits all night. (Still looking for tyre sponsors, hint hint!) Many thanks to for the setup tips and getting us quickly into the ballpark.

Next step is to break the theoretical 2:26 limit with some gearing and driver optimisation. We're committed to maximising the stock setup before making any drastic modifications! Keep following us to see if our shiftmap adjustments will help us find more speed and lap time!

As always, kept the car looking good for the photos, and .sg always having our back with the next good car deal!

2:28.2 (2:28.1 if you trust the official timesheet). 238km/h, IATs were the limiting factor.

Once the itch hits, you have to scratch it. Barely a week after the first trackday of the year, we signed up for the #1 for 2026. The target was simple - the F90 M5 lap record around on street tyres.

Unfortunately, the weather was unforgiving and the scrubbed PS4S tyres couldn't quite keep up, with the critical front right tyre hitting 97°C on the hot lap, and starting to slide around.

We waited for the night to fall in the hopes that we could set a benchmark lap closer to 2:30, however the traffic piled up on track. Despite setting several best sectors in the evening, we couldn't put together a good hot lap to beat the 2:32 record.

2:34.50 on PS4S. I guess we have to wait until the next trackday in April to achieve our objectives.

Looking for the sponsors to collaborate with us on this journey to smash the stock F90 lap record! Hit us up if you're keen too be a part of this journey!

"I'll never track this car..."

The wife never once believed me. After doing all the preventive maintenance, and with the new wheels installed and run in, I couldn't resist the temptation to establish a benchmark.

Thankfully, managed to open up a slot for me at short notice and off we went to ! Only hiccup - the heavens opened and the downpour started an hour before the trackday.

Even after the rain stopped, the track remained greasy until the final hour. After four stints and an excursion into the gravel at Turn 15, my "damp" benchmark had been established.

2:35.47, PS4S Tyres, Damp/drying track.

Don't zone out when you're on track! Used the dry braking point for the 435, but we were on a greasy track in the 5 series.

What looked like perfect testing weather quickly became great (t)raining weather at the trackday yesterday! Very professionally run TD with race teams and privateers sharing the track safely.
