People often ask about stage 1 or 2, so I’d like to set the record straight on this.

We offer chip tuning. Without hardware this is generally what people would consider to be stage 1.

You can’t simply do “more” on the tune to make it stage 2. This comes with hardware changes - stage 2 is often considered to me air intake, cat back exhaust and some other items such as turbo upgrades and such.

Stage 3 would often involve fully rebuilt engine with stronger bearing and lightened components.

But, and this is important, it’s going to be different on each car - a turbo versus an NA car or even a supper charged car. And each tuner may consider or do different things at each stage.

My advice is do what you’re comfortable with economically and performance wise and don’t get bogged down in the classification of stages.

Here at Paddy Power we absolutely love cars, bikes, well anything that goes fast. But in Singapore there are limited opportunities to really take advantage of your nice vehicle without trekking off to Malaysia, or flying off somewhere for a very expensive track day or experience.

Love these older golfs - the 2.0 turbo engine is a gem! This car got an additional 55bhp for a couple hours work!

Had a lovely BMW 420i in last week - with the multiple turbo engines you get really great results - about 40BHP and 70nm of Torque makes a huge difference!

We have to remove the ECU on the later BMW's due to some software updates BMW applied recently, so it takes about 4 hours for modern BMWs now - but it's worth it in the end for the performance improvement.

Just had a really lovely example of an Audi S5 - the superb 4.2 normally aspirated one. Sounds so nice we’re quite jealous of the owner of this one. Anyway, good gains for an NA car of about 25hp and 25nm of torque - that thing pulls!

Must add this is a repeat customer - we did his pickup a few weeks back too!

There were some challenges with the Mine Cooper S N56 we had in a few weeks back - but we always get there in the end. OBD mapping failed and bricked the port. Upon removing the ECU we saw it had previously been tampered with. But we percevered and not only resolved the ECU problem but also got the remap on there successfullly!!

Side note. I used to drive on of these cars, and standard they feel almost asthmatic. With a simple stage 1 tune it really brings the car to life. I loved mine after tuning!
