At the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026, Proton introduced their latest hybrid engine. This 1.5-litre DHE (dedicated hybrid engine) is naturally aspirated; power output from the engine is 82 kW, with the electric motor producing 113 kW. Combined torque is 250 Nm.

According to sources, it will be deployed in Proton’s upcoming compact SUV, which is slated to be launched by the end of this year. It will then see application into other Proton models.

Proton also presented a new ‘Premium Plus’ variant: Bigger battery, which also means longer range.

This variant gets a 69.22 kW battery (currently for sale in Singapore is a 60.22 kW), and range has improved - it can travel 50 km further. It commands an RM$6k premium here in Malaysia, at launch.

No confirmation yet whether it will reach our shore.

Malaysia’s best-selling PHEV SUV, the Proton e.MAS7 PHEV, will be coming to Singapore soon! Exact date? TBC.

The e.MAS7 PHEV comes in two battery options: 18.4 kW and 29.8 kW. It can travel up to 105 km (for the 18.4 kW variant) or 170 km (the 29.8 kW variant) in pure electric mode, and clock more than 1,000 km. Paired to a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine, combined power output is rated at 193 kW (257 bhp) and 262 Nm.

While info on Singapore bound models are not yet confirmed, we reckon we’ll be getting the 29.8 kW variant.

BMW has launched the all-new iX3 in Singapore, marking the debut of its next-generation Neue Klasse platform.

The fully electric SAV introduces the sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology, offering up to 805 km of range and charging speeds of up to 400 kW.

It also premieres BMW’s Panoramic iDrive and the new Heart of Joy driving dynamics system, alongside a fresh design language set to shape future BMW models. With enhanced digital intelligence, driving performance and sustainability, the iX3 signals a significant step forward in BMW’s electric mobility journey.

The BMW iX3 is priced at S$387,888 with COE.

On 29 January, the 140th anniversary of Carl Benz filing the patent for the world’s first automobile, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new S-Class and launched its global “140 Places” convoy. Three S-Class saloons embarked on a 50,000km journey across six continents, visiting 140 symbolic destinations that reflect the brand’s heritage and pioneering spirit.

Having covered more than 35,000km across 20 countries through Europe, the Americas and Asia, the convoy now arrives in Singapore, marking the end of its Asian chapter.

The occasion also offers a first look at Mercedes-Benz Studio Singapore at Gardens by the Bay - one of only 14 worldwide and the only one in Southeast Asia - set to open later this year.

The stunning Zenvo Aurora Tur made its Singapore debut during an exclusive media preview at Wearnes Tower, giving guests a close-up look at the Danish hypercar before production begins.

The all-wheel-drive grand tourer packs a hybrid 6.6-litre quad-turbo V12, and three electric motors, producing a staggering 1,850bhp.

Limited to just 50 units worldwide, the Aurora Tur blends Scandinavian design with extreme performance. With a base price of approximately €2.85 million before taxes, it remains one of the most exclusive hypercars on the horizon.
