SOLD - Aston Martin V8 Vantage ‘X Pack’ - The ex-Geneva Motor Show

One of the last Vantage X-Packs built, this example was ordered new by Aston Martin dealer Roger Bennington for his own use. His factory order dated 26th October 1988 specifies a unique colour scheme: British Racing Green with dark green leather piped dark green, the upholstery accented with green leather and beige headlining. The gearbox was a five-speed manual.

The history file shows that ‘12660’ was signed off on 18th January 1989 and delivered to Bennington’s company, Stratton Motor Co. Ltd, on 10th April 1989. Before this it had a starring role at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show as recorded by an official plaque on the transmission tunnel.

With a two-inch-thick Aston Martin history folder, all original accessories, and the luggage set carefully preserved, the car’s history is exceptionally well documented.

Now ready for its new enthusiastic owner, who has been longing for another X-Pack ever since selling his first one around thirty years ago, this exceptional car could not have found a better home.

AVAILABLE NOW - RUF RCT

RUF’s RCT, short for RUF Carrera Turbo, is regarded as the ultimate daily-drivable 964. This example began life as a 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2, ordered new in Nachtblau Metallic over grey ruffled leather by its first and only owner. In 1999, it was sent to RUF for the full RCT conversion, receiving the 370 hp RUF engine, six-speed G50/20 gearbox, RUF Speedline wheels, exhaust, instruments, steering wheel, and signature aero upgrades.

NEW IN - RUF RCT

RUF presents the RCT, short for RUF Carrera Turbo, as the core basis of its conversion programme, transforming Porsche 964 Carreras, both C2 and C4, into what can only be described as the ultimate daily drivable 964. Alois Ruf himself describes the RCT as the most usable everyday model in the RUF line-up.

Like the majority of RCTs, this particular example began life as a Porsche 911 Carrera, specifically a two-wheel-drive example ordered in late 1990. It was ordered new by its one and only owner, a Heidelberg-based doctor with obvious taste, who specified the car in gorgeous and now highly desirable Nachtblau Metallic, also known as Midnight Blue, over a grey ruffled leather interior. Options included a limited-slip differential, heated seats, and an electric sliding sunroof.

The doctor took delivery of the car in June 1991, collecting it directly from Porsche Stuttgart. He continued to service and maintain the car at the supplying dealership until 1999, when he commissioned RUF to carry out a full RCT conversion. The work included the 370 hp RUF RCT engine, RUF six-speed G50/20 gearbox, RUF airbag steering wheel, RUF instrument set, RUF Speedline 18-inch wheel set, RUF exhaust tips, RUF front spoiler lip, and 964 Turbo rear spoiler.

From the moment you approach the car, its unique character is undeniable. Start the engine, and that sense of occasion deepens. Its distinctive and exhilarating sound truly sets it apart from any other 964, or indeed any other Porsche. On a twisting country road, it feels alive, composed, and devastatingly quick; a car that can effortlessly keep pace with Stuttgart’s latest offerings while retaining the analogue charm and usability that define the very best RUF creations.

NEW IN - Ferrari 430 Scuderia

The 430 Scuderia was Ferrari at its sharpest: lighter, louder and far more focused than the standard F430. Its F1 Singleclutch gearbox could fire through shifts in just 60 milliseconds, compared with roughly 150 ms in the regular F430 F1, giving it a completely different sense of urgency. A incredibly snappy shift that pushes you back into your seat, a much more racey feel compared to the later DCT boxes. Ferrari claimed the Scuderia could match the mighty Enzo around Fiorano, despite the Enzo’s power advantage. That tells you everything about the Scuderia’s balance.

Delivered new to Italy, this example is presented in truly exceptional condition, having covered just 17,202 km from new. It still wears its original Rosso Corsa paint, which looks absolutely stunning and remains remarkably close to new, All around a toplevel car.
