Mini project ”chassis pallet” is finished! 😅

I Will use it to setup the car. Scales and cross-weigh the car. Adjust camber, caster and toe on a flat and the correct height.

Does anyone know of resonable prized scales? Or a used set? 🧐

Long time no see. Lots have happened since last update. We have moved from Stockholm to Dalarna into Marias house, we have also changed jobs so the cars havent been worked with at all. But i started my paternity leave yesterday so i might find some time i hope.

I have made some drawings and a "M-lamp" wich might be interesting!?

The chassie is made in Autodesk Inventor, which is my new tool at work. I don´t master it at all, but since i am going to work with it i need some practise so i thought i make a chassie for the Camaro. Inspired from Roadster shop with some of my own thoughts. LS-engine, dual A-arm suspension both front and back and a Dodge Viper rear end.

We are also going to rebuild the house so i made the house and garage/storage space in Solid Works.

The M-lamp is a birthday present for Maria made in 1,5mm metal TIG-welded.

Thanks an i hope i can make something sooner than 6 months..

My fuel tanks are finally finished. After almost one whole year of drawing, cutting and welding. A much bigger project than i could imagine. And quite expensive..

Working in Titanium is a lot more tricky than i remember from building the front suspension.
These were my criterias and why i buildt my own fuel tank.
- E85 friendly material (only Stainless Steel or Titanium is OK!)
- Low noise from pumps (Need intank pump, i hate those noisy 044)
- G-force friendly (the comparment with pums fill itself up in cornering and acceleration, and the fuel return goes there too. I dont like the foam stuff)
-Easy construction (Two Walbro 450 intank pumps with pre filter, good for up to 1200 hp and only one filter before engine, one fuel line to engine, and one line back to tank, thats it)
Low weight (Well not as light as aluminium byt almost half the weight of steel)
- 56 liter of volume

Long time between my updates, and this I why: Three weeks ago I got myself a new long time project. A boy and he has already started helping me out in the garage! :)

This will of Course make my other projects go slower, but I hope there can be some hours for them.. I have been working with the Titanium fuel tank and I have been porting a pair of cylinder heads for a cheap turbo LS1 engine. I have also worked at my new 24 square meter garage with some paint on the walls, putting up shelves and better lighting. I hope you have patience with my slow work! :)

With no time for building on my cars, I can provide with some pics on Carbon Fibre and titianium stuff for my “new” bike. I like MTB-cycling and I bought a 2014 Hardtail XC race MTB, which I have lightened a bit.

The frame are a “china” medium size in carbon fibre, brakes and gears are all XTR. It´s 1*10 geared with no front Derailleur and the front fork are a FOX terralogic, which means its turning damping off and on depending on road surface.

I got two sets of wheels where the black ZTR-ones are lighter, but when I first measured there was no difference. The bike weighed 10,2 kg with both sets of wheels on the bike.

After changing seat, seat post, steering column and handlebar it was down to 9,5 kg. And after weight optimizing (just moving parts around) and with changing to a pair of Eggbeater pedals with aftermarket titanium spindle axels the bike weighs 8868 grams. I have no fluids in the tiers so around 120 grams needs to be added. This is great for a bike just under 11000 SEK with all parts.

I apologize to the late update, this spring and summer has been full of work. Even so, I have made some progress on my cars and here are a summary for what I have done with the Camaro.

In May I had help from Henrik Rydemark who made the wiring harness and helped med with the start up. Most went well and a quick tune of the car was done just before the vacation. I drove it for a couple of evenings and suddenly it started to run poor and smoked a lot. After some fault searching (which had an incident of fuel in my eyes and fire) I found out that one injector had malfunctioned and was locked in an open position. It filled up one cylinder so I got hydro lock and I broke the starter motor. I cleaned the fuel system and changed the fuel filter witch seemed to have loosened some glue.

I changed intake manifold since the engine was apart, fixed the wiring harness and changed starter motor and after that the engine ran fine again.

The day after I went to Orsa dragway were there was a muscle car day with 201 m dragrace and a wheel dyno. I started at the dyno and made three pulls with unfortunately no adjustments (had no time). The diagram says 399 hp at the crank. But it also says that the RPM is 7300, this was incorrect measured by the dyno, and I guess it’s the automatic gearbox. If the torque is correct (400 Nm) at max RPM witch was 6000. That means that the actual max HP should be around 335-340 witch is more likely to be true.

I also made three runs at the strip with 8.45 sec and 135 km/h at 201 m. Not the fastest car perhaps but it was great fun.
