SUMMARY
- SENIOR CATEGORY:
Changing weather conditions can challenge any driver at any level. But when you think you've seen it all, the weather decided to pull a trick on us all!
Sun --> Light rain --> Sun --> Hail --> Sun --> Snow --> Sun ☀️🌦🌤🌧☁️🌨❄️🌞
Jack and Lukas had a rough race day overall, very much like a roller-coaster. Jack did a solid qualification, but didn't extract the value from the qualifying races due to unfortunate collisions in front resulting into front fairings (5s penalties).
However, almost like a fairytale story, he managed to pull it through and finished on a solid 12th place out of 48 drivers in the Final.
Lukas had a steep hill to climb this race weekend. Apart from the rapid changing weather conditions, he had his first race with the Intrepid chassis and a new engine. By not being fully prepared, testing had to be made on site. Unfortunately, Lukas didn't manage to qualify to the finals, and therefore didn't start the final race (DNS). We will continue to evaluate the data and prepare Lukas for the next race with more knowledgeable input.
- JUNIOR CATEGORY:
Second race in Rotax Junior for Milo. As a debut, he fought in each round to prove himself and surely he did! Driving slicks on wet condition in the qualifying heats (unfortunate call from the team as the weather changed from rain to sun to snow in a matter of 10 minutes, he managed to end on a 20th position in the finals.
- CADETTI CATEGORY:
Rainy conditions = Kian speciality!
Kian drove his kart very well, overtaking others with finesse and handling his kart without a single spin like many others in his category. A special effort was made by the team to setup the chassis, and boy it went like a rocket on the wet condition. Combing the driving by Kian and a solid setup, he finished on the podium again!
Until next time, stay safe, flat out, over & out 🎙
