It was reseeding yesterday and I got number 9 in the second top seed group.
Today I played more with settings and trying to get to know the track better. The track has now started to develop some character and quite edgy in certain places.
I started on the back foot but progressed the whole day to set the best time in last practice. But others has improved as well so we need to step up but qualifiers in ten minutes is something different than three fastest laps. Now consistency is the most important aspect.
In the evening we had a nice barbecue with Team Sweden and Fredrik decided to grill some tires...
Tomorrow we will have one timed practice and one qualifier, and then the opening ceremony in the evening.

The theme for this photo dump is prototypes. One of the fun and interesting things with the Euros are many prototypes are launched and shown for the first time.
The long peeked Spark from Hörmann Tuning Modelltechnik the gas version has finally seen the light of the day and it's really different and exciting.
More from Hörmann is a new frontend for their 2wd car that you can see here on Ferry Fernee car, that is also very polished. Ferry also told me he made a special engine laydown version.
Finally we have a new 2wd prototype from RCBC that is also very different with chain drive and a very different steering and layout. The creator Julien Chirinian told me the plan is to create a production version at one point but for now it's just a prototype.

First day of practice and I’m sitting in P19 with a goal of being top twenty this is quite good. I have improved about 2 seconds in each round but so have the others so the day has progressed P15-P21-P19. But it feels like I have much more to improve. I’m still not driving optimal and I will make some tweaks to the car tomorrow.
It’s a good start, hope for another day of progress tomorrow.

We will post images during the whole week of LSOR Euros in this album. We will keep it coming in batches around a subject or theme or sometimes just a bunch of random ones. But I also took some more picture today as the weather was better and the late afternoon sun just made beautiful photos of the track and camping. I will keep on posting more images...

Lost a wheel nut on the warm up lap! 🤣

But my mechanic was quick to fix it and I only lost a couple of laps of warm up.
Being my first time ever on this track I felt quite good and I ended up having the 15:th fastest three consecutive laps of 60 drivers in my class. There is still a lot of potential for improvement, I over jump some jumps and need to time the corners better. If you get outside the ”line” it gets very slippery and you can easily loose the car.
I’m not going to change too much on the car except tires for the next round that starts 14:49.

Feels good to have the first round done! ✅

This is the track walk for the Starec track where the practice will be starting tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what the best ways to handle the different sections of the track are.
