Let's talk some mods!
As an official Technical Bulletin, I fitted EGR platings with gaskets to a more refined drive, especially under 2000-2500 rpms and for the long run. The platings must be installed on the intake manifold side and on the egr cooler for a proper fit. The holes on the platings are for a no-error MIL and the plates are made of thick stainless steel with quality metal- reinforced gaskets.
Then I added a sport filter made by french JR Filters, with a blue note on it :D It is made of cotton and has to be cleaned and rinsed and oiled between 5000-10.000 kms for a proper maintenance.
I had to make a mod here because the filter was 1 cm longer than the filter housing (0.5 cm from top and 0.5 from bottom of the filter by cutting the silicone seal). Did I mention that at first, 2 weeks ago at the oil and filter change on the local workshop, the mechanic did NOT correctly put the third screw in place and for some reason my car went into limp mode?! grrr.
Then I replaced the vacuum pipes from the turbo boost actuator to the vacuum metallic rail with silicone tube of 4 mm. Silicone is a more robust material compared with rubber.
Also, I changed the boost pressure sensor of the intake manifold with new Bosch one and the mass air flow meter sensor with a new and better Pierburg one (with passive cooling on it and some more robust thermal sensors vs thin film and prone to heat and dust made by oem Bosch).
Aand the last mod, I added aluminum velcro to protect the wires loom, recirculating gases pipe and fuel pipe (from filter to the CR fuel pump) from fhe engine bay, on top of the engine.
It does actually give a more response of the throttle ;-)
