working on the 1963 ragtop "herbie" project, its a good time to prepare the pan with the IRS conversion brackets, the job is done usually easier with the std brackets cut off from an IRS pan, now its a bit harder as those are aftermarket conversion brackets and lot of cutting, grinding and trial fit is needed to make them fit as they should, thanks a lot my friend giannis for the pilot brackets, saved a lot of time!

next, 1963 ragtop beetle, this will be a herbie replica, just back from the paint shop to start working on it, this was a car with a heavy sheet metal work, as it came initialy as a 63 transformed to a newer beetle, so lots of modifications were needed to bring the car back to its spec, front and rear valances replaced, bonnet and lid replaced, side panels replaced, floorpans, heater channels, traansverse parts etc lots lots of work went on this, happy to see that it really came out nice

red 1303 after sandblasting and epoxy primered, so as to keep the bare sheet metal safe, you can easily see the level of heavy corrosion that the old method of welding with oxyacetylenic flame brings about, now all its clear and we know what has to be done to this body, so stay tuned for more info
