We are adventure sidecar specialists - eager to share our knowledge and experience gained over decades of sidecar riding. Gusto Motorbikes, working out of Amsterdam and Edinburgh, is owned and operated by Rob MacDonald MBE and Zayne Dagher. With a combined 40+ years riding experience and a grand total of 50 bikes owned to date we have the background and expertise to provide exactly the motorbike that a customer wants. The word Gusto translates in many languages, reflecting a sense of taste, appeal, energy and enthusiasm. We give character to both old and new bikes, converting them into bikes with ‘oomph’ that appeal to people’s taste and budget. As designers and builders we love working with our customers to find cost-effective, efficient and flexible ideas whilst creating machines that are great to ride and ooze character. We currently have projects running in both cities. Though we lean towards Street Scramblers and Street Trackers in term of style we have just completed a Café Racer which has generated a very strong and positive response – not least from us. Our strong relationship with an extensive network of manufacturers and suppliers in Europe and the UK means that an elusive part, specialised service or custom paint job is only a phone call or email away. We also enjoy working with people not necessarily directly associated with the motorbike building world, each able to contribute to creating a bike with character and unique flair. While we both love to design and build bikes we both ride as much as we can. We enjoy a Gusto life – working and playing hard.
