⚠️ Important:A simple photo of your driving licence
is NOT considered a valid legal document in
Portugal. Photos or screenshots do not have official
validation or the required QR code used for digital
verification.

Portugal does allow official digital documents through
the gov.pt / id.gov.pt app, which includes secure
verification systems recognised by authorities.
However, ordinary photos stored on your phone are not
legally accepted as official identification.

To avoid fines, delays or problems during your trip,
always travel with your original physical documents.
