Most of the car enthusiast world knows the Renault Espace F1, but did you know Matra developed a 4wd Espace V6 biturbo as well? It was sadly never produced, but it exists and it would be fairly easier to replicate than the F1, mostly because Formula One engines are not the easiest (or cheapest) things to come by. It would also be much more practical in every single way possible. Now, would a 7-seater people carrier with a twin turbo V6 and 4wd be a sensible vehicle? Well, the good people at Renault didn't seem to think so, but what do they actually know? Maybe sometimes you wanna drop off your kids at school or football practice in a hurry. Or you're late for a picnic. Or you wanna go see the rally with the boys and only worry about finding one parking spot. Maybe they dropped the ball by not making this one, but at least they did give us the Safrane Biturbo a couple of years after that.
