Emergency Road Assistance

On this project we replaced the damaged ignition key lock for a 2002 Toyota Tacoma.

The ignition lock cylinder is the cylindrical tumbler and key that is used to power on and start the vehicle.

1. Issues powering on the vehicle
A worn ignition cylinder may not function correctly when the key is inserted.The issue will usually worsen until the unit eventually fails completely

2. Car not starting
If the ignition lock cylinder wear out or breaks, it may prevent the vehicle from starting when the key is inserted and turned.

3. Issues inserting and removing the key
As the key is repeatedly inserted, removed, and turned, both the cylinder and key will eventually begin to wear and cause issues with the operation of the cylinder.
