3D printing is no longer just about prototyping.

In the defence sector, additive manufacturing is increasingly becoming a real production technology - enabling faster development, complex geometries and greater flexibility in responding to manufacturing needs.

At New Era Materials, we see even greater potential in combining additive manufacturing with advanced composite materials. Through our Fibometry brand, we bring industrial 3D printing capabilities together with our expertise in advanced composites, creating solutions that can be applied across a wide range of defence and dual-use applications.

Our capabilities cover both polymer and metal 3D printing, allowing us to support projects at different stages - from the first prototype and design optimisation to functional components and series production.

Our technologies include:
🔹 SLS and MJF – for strong, lightweight and geometrically complex polymer components
🔹 FDM/FFF and SLA/DLP – for prototyping and specialised components
🔹 DMLS/SLM – for industrial metal 3D printing

We are currently placing a particular focus on metal additive manufacturing. Our technology park has been expanded with an advanced EOS industrial system featuring four lasers and a 400 × 400 × 400 mm build volume. This enables us to work with demanding engineering materials such as Inconel, aluminium alloys, steels and titanium, and to produce components with complex geometries and high performance requirements.

But the real opportunity lies in combining technologies.
By bringing together advanced composites and additive manufacturing, we can explore solutions that offer the advantages of both technologies — from lightweight and high-strength structures to complex, functional components and integrated assemblies.
This combination is particularly relevant for dual-use applications, where the same technologies and manufacturing capabilities can serve both defence and civilian industries.
Additive manufacturing can help enable:
→ shorter development cycles from design to component
→ on-demand production
→ reduced need for costly tooling
→ complex geometries that are difficult or impossible to manufacture conventionally
→ part consolidation
→ efficient short- and medium-series production

🚀 Rozwój kompleksowego centrum produkcji przyrostowej
New Era Materials realizuje projekt współfinansowany przez Unię Europejską, którego celem jest stworzenie nowoczesnego centrum produkcji przyrostowej w Polsce, dedykowanego przemysłowej produkcji komponentów ze stopów metali i polimerów.
W ramach projektu powstanie zaawansowana linia produkcyjna obejmująca m.in. przemysłowe drukarki 3D (w tym wielkogabarytową drukarkę do metalu), urządzenia do post-processingu oraz systemy kontroli jakości. Projekt obejmuje również rozwój kompetencji naszego zespołu, niezbędnych do efektywnego wykorzystania technologii addytywnych.

Projekt skierowany jest przede wszystkim do przedsiębiorstw, zwłaszcza sektora MŚP, poszukujących partnera w zakresie opracowania i produkcji innowacyjnych komponentów z metali i polimerów.

2026 – the synergy of materials technology and unmanned systems. 🚁
The development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) today requires not only advanced avionics and software, but also lightweight, durable and precisely engineered structures. It is at the intersection of materials engineering, structural design and additive manufacturing that solutions offering a genuine technological advantage are created.
🤝 This year’s edition of Dronowisko, organised by the , provided an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with representatives from industry, defence institutions and the uniformed services.
During the event, discussions centred on, amongst other things:
✔ the role of UAVs and AI in modern operations,
✔ FPV control systems,
✔ the use of UAVs in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
These are areas in which we are developing solutions based on advanced materials and modern manufacturing technologies.
⚙️ The technologies developed by New Era Materials and Fibometry are in line with the dual-use concept – they are used in the defence sector as well as in aviation, the automotive industry and public transport.
By combining the expertise of both brands, we offer:
• advanced composite design and manufacturing,
• 3D printing using SLS, MJF and DMLS/SLM technologies,
• rapid prototyping,
• short-run and mass production,
• support from CAD design right through to the finished component.

Dotyczy to szczególnie obszarów związanych z obronnością, bezpieczeństwem i technologiami dual-use, gdzie innowacje wymagają nie tylko kompetencji technologicznych, ale również odpowiedniego ekosystemu wsparcia.

Programy NATO, Europejski Fundusz Obronny (EDF) oraz inne europejskie inicjatywy finansujące innowacje otwierają dziś nowe możliwości dla firm rozwijających technologie przyszłości.

W New Era Materials z dużym zainteresowaniem uczestniczymy w dyskusjach dotyczących kierunków rozwoju tych sektorów.
