Anyone who builds cars knows that feeling when a project takes over your life.
This Nissan 350Z has been sitting in the garage for what feels like forever. Countless late nights, cold coffee, skinned knuckles, and that obsessive thought that every single detail needs to have meaning.
Most people only care about what turns heads from the curb, but the best parts of a build are usually the ones hidden from plain view. Pop the hood latch, lift the sheet metal, and this is what greets you.

Painting on the underside of a hood is always a pain because you are constantly fighting factory stampings, ribs, and zero flat surfaces. Instead of forcing a regular composition onto it, I let the black ink style, the blood-red sun, and the flying crows flow naturally along the metal contours. It gives off that heavy Japanese sumi-e aesthetic with pure, raw aggression.
It is that quiet flex at a car meet—the kind of secret touch that only people who really love the craft will stop and appreciate.
One major piece of the puzzle is finally done, and seeing it come to life under the lights makes every single hour behind the airbrush worth it.
