Does the quality of shock absorber packaging really matter if they’re going to be repaired anyway?
Yes. Yes. Yes.

Here you can see two completely different approaches to packaging.

The Lambo shipment arrived in a torn box — maybe customs opened it, but honestly, we’d put our money on poor packaging quality. The shock absorbers and wiring were practically hanging out of the package. That’s a recipe for disaster. Damage to soft components like wiring, connectors, coils, and other delicate parts can be difficult to repair properly. Functionality can usually be restored, but cosmetically it may never look quite the same again.

And in some cases, the parts may be damaged beyond repair altogether.

On the other hand — 4 Ferrari lift-kit shock absorbers packed exactly the way they should be. Clean, secure, protected. That’s the kind of respect we like to see for these components.

Interestingly enough, those two Lambo cores survived the trip unharmed this time (fortunately). But if they hadn’t, the value of just one damaged Lambo core would equal roughly two Ferrari units

Here’s a sneak peek at the shock absorbers before and after. It’s nice to have time for electroplating (not this time), but the lathe managed to finish off the threaded parts in express mode.

News from the European remanufacturing scene — and Friday feels like the perfect day for stories like these.

Case 1 – Ferrari 458
A very interesting discovery.
The company that previously “repaired” these Ferrari shock absorbers used a plug with a scraper to hide the leak from view. We also spotted a large valve — already familiar from some previous Lamborghini repairs — which may suggest that the only work performed was simply refilling the gas.
We expected to find oil inside, as we had seen in earlier repairs where magnetic fluid had been replaced. But this time? Nothing had been replaced at all.
The original fluid was still inside, the leak had been disguised, and the job was apparently considered “done.”
Is this really what a Ferrari suspension repair should look like?

Case 2 – Audi r8
No need for many words here.

🇳🇴➡️🇵🇱 Another international Magride refurbishment completed!

We recently had the pleasure of carrying out a refurbishment service with installation of Magride shock absorbers for an Audi R8 that arrived all the way from Norway. The car came straight off the ferry in Gdynia and headed directly to Carrington Serwis in Banino for the replacement.

After a quick and efficient service, the owner continued the journey by exploring beautiful Miasto Gdańsk during a short holiday.

We had an interesting opportunity here to take a look at a pair of Magride rear shock absorbers that we repaired four years ago. The front ones needed attention, and the car had undergone some major modifications—we had some time to spare, so we took the chance to check out the rear ones as well.
The verdict? Still performing very well. 👌
So we rebuilt the front ones and gave the rear ones a refresh
-painting
-new bushings
- new rubber covers above and below the spring

We are presenting a set of shock absorbers with lift for the Ferrari 456M (2-year warranty).
It’s an interesting set and not very common. By the way, we’ve stocked up on some new elements (OEM153286), so we can offer them for free for upcoming repairs ;) ;) ;)

We had a little issue with them, but everything's fine now!
They drive around Tallin.

Everything came together perfectly on this one 🔧✨

We recently had the pleasure of installing an H&R lowering set on a second-generation Audi R8.

The customer supplied his set, and we took care of the rest by preparing the matching OEM shocks here. From there, it was all about precise adjustment of the threaded elements and dialing in the final details to achieve the perfect setup.

Turnaround? Just 2 days in our facility 🚀
Now that’s efficiency without compromising quality.
