Indus Motor Company (IMC) celebrated the Yaris line-off ceremony on the 11th of March 2020 where first local assembled Yaris unit rolled off the assembly lines. Yaris sedan which will be slotted below the Corolla Altis variants in Pakistan is expected to be officially launched on the 27th of March 2020.
As per information, IMC will be launching the Toyota Yaris sedan in two engine capacities– 1.3L and 1.5L thus effectively taking on the Honda City and its Aspire variants. The 1.3 liter engine is 4NR-FE unit that churns out 98hp of power and 123Nm of torque, while the 1.5 liter 2NR-FE unit punches out 106hp of power and 140Nm of torque. Both the engines will come paired to either 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox options.

Powered with 796cc engine and around 40hp in power. Basically the engine is Chinese replica of F8B [Suzuki Mehran Engine ] and commonly known as LJ368QA as engine code. Pearl is available with a manual only transmission with 4 forward and a reverse.

And yes "ALLOW" rims are allowed and standard.

Under skin, the technology of Bravo, Price Pearl and Mehran is quite similar. On exterior and interior all these are different cars with some features. Don't expect a night and day difference between Bravo and Prince Pearl as far as driving dynamics.

The spare wheel in the hatch cargo area looks like a very poorly managed feature. Well, its again a personal opinion.

Unfortunately safety is not a priority and some features like LCD screen, alloys and some digital meters will overtake the importance of saefty features. On safety front nothing is special to talk about even being a Prince with a Pearl.

Motors Officially Launched in as First Electric Car Company

Pakistan, in its commitment to implement the National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP), has launched the first-ever electric car company in the country, Topsun Motors, in partnership with China.

The company cut the ribbon on its showroom called Topsun MR Motors on in Jail Road Lahore on 3rd January 2020.

Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, the Provincial Minister of Punjab for housing, urban development and public health engineering, inaugurated the showroom along with Malik Riaz, the managing director of Topsun Motors.

During the glittering ceremony, the company showcased 4 different models including a hatchback and three models of JMC. Furthermore, this includes the 1000CC Zyote’s Z100 hatchback, the first-ever electric car in Pakistan’s local industry.

The company has also launched the JMC Single Cabin along with a double cabin variant.

It is pertinent to point out that for now all these cars are engine-based and the prices are inclusive of withholding tax. Currently, the company is waiting for the implementation of the NEVP before launching the electric-powered variant of Z100, which is already available in global markets.

According to the company, the electric Z100 will have a range of 300KM on a single battery charge and will have a price-tag of around PKR 1.9-2 million which might reduce based on the NEVP.

The fuel-powered Z100 has a 1000CC engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. In the future, they plan on bringing an automatic variant as well. For now, these models are being imported as completely built units (CBU)
