لاہور ٹرام سروس کی منظوری
لاہور: پنجاب حکومت نے لاہور کے ٹرانسپورٹیشن انفراسٹرکچر کو بڑھانے کے لیے ایک اہم اقدام کرتے ہوئے شہر میں ٹرام سروس شروع کرنے کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ اس پروجیکٹ کا مقصد عوامی نقل و حمل کے اختیارات کو جدید اور ہموار کرنا ہے، جو رہائشیوں اور زائرین کے لیے یکساں طور پر نقل و حمل کا ایک آسان اور موثر طریقہ فراہم کرتا ہے۔
لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) ہیڈ کوارٹر کے حالیہ دورے کے دوران وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف کی جانب سے ٹرام سروس کے منصوبے کو گرین لائٹ ملی۔ ایل ڈی اے، اب اس منصوبے پر فعال طور پر کام کر رہا ہے، 11 کلومیٹر پر محیط ٹرام لائن تعمیر کرنے کا ارادہ رکھتا ہے جس میں 10 اسٹریٹجک طور پر رکھے گئے اسٹاپ ہیں، جو تقریباً 1 سے 1.5 کلومیٹر کے فاصلے پر ہیں۔
فن لینڈ اور چین کے جدید ٹرام سسٹم سے متاثر ہو کر، LDA کا مقصد لاہور کی نئی ٹرام سروس میں جدید ٹیکنالوجی اور ڈیزائن کو نافذ کرنا ہے۔اس مہتواکانکشی منصوبے کی تخمینہ لاگت تقریباً 27 ارب روپے ہے، جو پائیدار شہری ترقی میں سرمایہ کاری کے لیے حکومت کے عزم کی عکاسی کرتی ہے۔
ٹرام کا راستہ کلمہ چوک، لبرٹی، مین مارکیٹ، منی مارکیٹ، اور حالی روڈ سے مین بلیوارڈ سمیت کئی اہم علاقوں سے گزرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔ ٹرام لائن کو ایڈجسٹ کرنے کے لیے، ایم ایم عالم روڈ کو ون وے اسٹریٹ میں تبدیل کیا جائے گا، ایک وسیع تر ری ماڈلنگ اور بیوٹیفیکیشن اقدام کے حصے کے طور پر جس کی منظوری وزیر اعلیٰ نے دی تھی۔
نئی ٹرام سروس کی نمایاں خصوصیات میں سے ایک قذافی اسٹیڈیم کے اندر ایک خاص اسٹاپ ہے، جو اسے کھیلوں کے شائقین اور ایونٹ میں جانے والوں کے لیے ایک پرکشش اختیار بناتا ہے۔ اس انضمام سے اسٹیڈیم میں منعقد ہونے والے بڑے ایونٹس تک آسان اور زیادہ موثر رسائی کی امید ہے۔
جبکہ ٹرام سروس کے لیے ٹکٹوں کی صحیح قیمتوں کا انکشاف لانچ کے بعد کیا جائے گا، لیکن اس سروس سے توقع کی جاتی ہے کہ لا میں موجودہ نقل و حمل کے اختیارات کا ایک سستا اور قابل اعتماد متبادل پیش کرے گی۔
ٹرام سروس کا تعارف لاہور کے پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ انفراسٹرکچر کو جدید بنانے کی کوششوں میں ایک اہم قدم ہے۔اس منصوبے کے ساتھ، پنجاب حکومت کا مقصد ٹریفک کے ہجوم کو کم کرنا، آلودگی کو کم کرنا اور شہریوں کے لیے سفر کے مجموعی تجربے کو بڑھانا ہے۔
لاہور ٹرام سروس کا آغاز بے صبری سے متوقع ہے، جو شہر کے پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ نیٹ ورک میں سہولت اور کارکردگی کی ایک نئی سطح لانے کا وعدہ کرتا ہے۔
Lahore Tram Service Approved; Check Routes, Launch Date
LAHORE: In a significant move to enhance the transportation infrastructure of Lahore, the Punjab government has approved the launch of a tram service in the city. This project aims to modernize and streamline public transit options, providing a convenient and efficient mode of transportation for residents and visitors alike.
The tram service project received the green light from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif during her recent visit to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) headquarters. The LDA, now actively working on the project, plans to construct a tram line spanning 11 kilometers with 10 strategically placed stops, approximately 1 to 1.5 kilometers apart.
Drawing inspiration from advanced tram systems in Finland and China, the LDA aims to implement cutting-edge technology and design into Lahore’s new tram service. The estimated cost for this ambitious project is around Rs27 billion, reflecting the government’s commitment to investing in sustainable urban development.
The tram route is set to traverse several key localities, including Main Boulevard from Kalma Chowk, Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market, and Hali Road. To accommodate the tram line, MM Alam Road will be converted into a one-way street, as part of a broader re-modeling and beautification initiative approved by the chief minister.
One of the notable features of the new tram service is a special stop within Gaddafi Stadium, making it an attractive option for sports enthusiasts and event-goers. This integration is expected to facilitate easier and more efficient access to major events held at the stadium.
While the exact ticket prices for the tram service will be disclosed post-launch, the service is anticipated to offer a cost-effective and reliable alternative to existing transportation options in Lahore.
The introduction of the tram service marks a significant step forward in Lahore’s efforts to modernize its public transport infrastructure. With this project, the Punjab government aims to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and enhance the overall commuting experience for its citizens.
