Hyundai Sonata
Location: Sukkar motorway
Via: overtrying
The car was on a cruise
control at 130 km/h in the center lane and as per the
report of motorway police it went out of control all of a sudden (exact cause is unknown) and hit the safety rail on the left. The car didn't rolled over and may also have hit the center divider (not confirmed) before coming to standstill right in the middle of the motorway. My brother and her daughter survived with minor injuries and unfortunately his beloved wife died in his arms at the place of incident. She suffered multiple injuries, mainly on head and other parts of the body. We truely believe everything happened with the will of Allah and this time for the eternal aboard was written for her. May Allah bless her, forgive her and offer her the choicest place in
Jannat. Aameen!
I admit the car was 10 km above the speed limit but does this means it converts into a piece of trash after hitting rails on the motorway? I want to raise serious questions on the build quality and safety standards of this car. Despite of the fact that front airbags opened except for. the airbag of the passenger seat where our sister was sitting. A big car which has 2.5 litre engine and being offered with all the latest gadgets and claimed safeties is completely destroyed in seconds by getting few hits from rail and may be divider at a speed of 130 km, than what is the point for offering such safeties and top speed of 200 km/h plus? Instead they should restrict to 100 kms/h for the top speed, atleast human lives can be
saved.
