Beading isn’t self cleaning. Bird droppings still etch. Road film still builds up, and once it does, water never even touches the coating.

A coating doesn’t mean fewer washes. It means easier ones.
It Simply just helps with protection but at some point if not taken care off, that protection fades. Not cleaning it just speeds that process up.

Three things that happen before anyone touches the paint:

1️⃣INSPECT THE CAR: A quick inspection under good lighting to find existing scratches, dents, swirls. Photos of preexisting damage protect both sides. Always good to know what your working with before you start

2️⃣TALK WITH THE CUSTOMER: What the customer wants verses what the car actually needs does matter. A heavily scratched car in need for a 3-Step Correction is useless when the client has a small budget. Not to mention how important it is to ask the client if there had been any previous work done on the paint prior to the job.

3️⃣PREP PHASE: Paint Corrections and coatings take time and it’s not something you want to rush. A proper prepped work space with all your tools organised and ready to go can save HEAPS of time during the job and especially the clean up after.

Well at least that’s a few of the non negotiables we do before we start a job.

Steam is powerful, but it isn’t for every surface in your car.
Three spots to leave alone:

• Dashboard and infotainment screens. Heat and moisture sneak into ports and can leave permanent hazing on the display.

• The headliner. The adhesive holding that fabric to your roof softens under heat, and you’ll be looking at a sag that never sits flat again.

• Leather seats, especially perforated ones. Steam strips the natural oils and works its way down into seat heaters and airbag seams.
