The Hindukush range is the first you will encounter near Swat Valley.In short, we can say that the whole Northern Area and part of NWFP comes under these ranges, thus extending from Shard to Chitral it gives us a space of 800 Kilometers in length from East to West and about 400 miles North to South.With such a vast area of mountains,valleys,pastures,rivers and peaks you can very well imagine how trekking areas you can find in these ranges.Many of those have already been done while many are still virgin tracks.This is one of the reasons why it is known as a paradise for climbers and trekkers.
