To all my Clients please be reminded!
If your car is flooded, DO NOT start the engine and immediately call your insurance company and a towing service. Once it's safe, disconnect the battery and document the damage with photos. Next, work to dry the interior by ventilating the car and removing all wet items. Finally, have the vehicle professionally inspected and towed to a proper shop or service center for thorough cleaning and repairs.
Immediate actions 🚨
Do not start the engine: Turning on the car can cause severe damage to the engine, electrical systems, and other components.
Disconnect the battery: If it's safe to reach the battery, disconnect the negative terminal to prevent short circuits. If the engine bay is wet, wait for a mechanic.
Call for help: Contact your insurance provider and have the car towed to a service center. A tow truck or flatbed is necessary to move the vehicle safely.
Document the damage: Take photos and videos of the water line on the car's exterior and interior, as well as any visible damage. This will be crucial for your insurance claim.
