If your serious about off roading you should only be using a AGM Battery. They do drain over long periods of time if your not using a CETEK Charger to keep it charged. Also remember your Alternator is not a charger its only to maintain your battery above 10.5 Volts.

Try not to use old fashioned Binary chargers. These are the ones with on /off switch and hi and low. These are binary chargers and really are obsolete now. Hence why they are so cheap to buy. Think about CETEK or any digital charger.

If your using a AGM Battery in your 4WD and it's completely flat and will not charge with normal charger here is a little tech trick. This is a recovery method for the do-it-yourselfer using the equipment you've got in the garage. With this option, you're going to trick your traditional charger into charging the deeply discharged AGM battery.

Here's what you need:
Cheap Ass Battery charger (under 15-amps)
Jumper cables (Heavy Duty)
A good battery, preferably above 12.2 volts. (It can be an AGM or flooded battery, it doesn't matter.)
The seemingly dead, deeply discharged AGM battery
A voltage meter
A watch or timer

Now, here's what you do:
Hook up the good battery and deeply discharged AGM battery in parallel – positive to positive and negative to negative. Do not have the charger connected to the battery or turned on at this stage.
Now, hook up the good battery to the charger. Turn on the charger. The charger will "see" the voltage of the good battery (hooked up in parallel), and start providing a charge.
After the batteries have been hooked up for about an hour, check to see if the AGM battery is slightly warm or hot to the touch. Batteries naturally become warm during charging, but excessive heat may be an indication that there really is something wrong with the battery. Discontinue charging immediately if the battery is hot to the touch. Also discontinue the process if you hear the battery "gassing".

Now check volts in AGM battery. If its above 10.5 volts the battery is charged enough for fitting back into truck. Or continue to Charge it to get around 12Volts+.

Your AGM battery is now good to go.

When buying jumper cables try to source truck ones and not cheap thin car type. Or make your own using ark welding cable and 4 Earth Clamps as used to earth the welder. Try to stay around 6ft in length. Then buy Red and Green tape and mark the black cables + Red and - Green.

Oz tent RV1 in Action in the Philippines is simply the best of froad camping tent money can buy. From removing the water proof cover it a simple 1 minute to put it up and 1 minute to put it down. All your bedding is left inside with the mattress so that keep the 4wd free of bedding and pillows.

I have never used a tent like it and with the TentCo water proof cover nothing gets wet. I will never use any other tent as the design has been used for years by professional off road explorers around the world. The Oz tent works and works bloody well. Even in June's typhoon this year it just kept us all dry.

My tent is over 2 years old and has spent it life outside on the trailer. Its covered 1000 of kilometers bouncing around on the trailer and many a night in some harsh weather.

For Philippines I advise to get the storm sheet that helps keep it cool in the day time and extra protection from the rain.

It can sleep 4 adults in semi comfort or 2 adults and 2 children.
