You've probably seen numbers like 5W-30, 5W-40, or 0W-20 on engine oil bottles.
But what do they actually mean?
The first number, followed by the W, relates to how the oil flows at lower temperatures.
The second number represents the oil's viscosity when the engine reaches operating temperature.
So 5W-30 and 5W-40 aren't interchangeable just because they're both fully synthetic oils.
The correct oil depends on your vehicle's engine requirements and manufacturer specifications.
At Drive+, our team can help you identify the appropriate Ravenol oil for your vehicle.
