Upgrading the common rail pump is often prioritized over the nozzles in Hilux, D-Max, and Triton for these reasons:

✅Fuel Volume & Pressure
The stock common rail pump is limited in how much pressure and volume it can deliver. Upgrading the pump ensures enough fuel is available at higher boost and RPM, which is crucial for performance tuning.

✅Prevent Fuel Starvation
When you increase injector size (nozzle) without upgrading the pump, the stock pump may not keep up, causing low rail pressure, engine knocking, or even injector failure.

✅Support for Bigger Turbo
High-performance turbos require more fuel. A stronger pump ensures consistent high-pressure delivery to match air intake.

✅Stable Tuning Platform
Tuners prefer to have a stable fuel supply before optimizing injector pulse width or duration. An upgraded pump gives better tuning flexibility and safety margin.
