Why is your shipment stuck that isn’t even on the road?

Container release rates at Manila ports have dropped from 98% in 2024 to just 90% this year. But depots nominated by shipping lines for empty returns are running at or worse, past capacity. Truth: Some yards have already breached 100% utilization.

For truckers, that’s not a stat. It’s a truck sitting idle when it should be turning around for your next haul. It’s fuel burning, overtime piling up, and detention charges creeping in while a container waits for a slot that isn’t really just there.

We’re feeling this — but our job doesn’t change. We track depot capacity upon dispatch, communicate costs transparently, and reroute proactively when the nominated depot is full. We’d rather flag a delay early than surprise you with one.

That’s what staying on the supporting end of your supply chain means, congestion or not.

Talk to us if this is affecting your shipments.

Your shipment isn’t stuck by chance. 📦

Airport congestion and customs delays are hitting importers across the Philippines right now — and most of it traces back to the same three causes: peak season volume, incomplete paperwork, and a rise in physical inspections.

Every extra day at the airport isn’t just a delay. It’s demurrage fees, missed commitments, and risk to time-sensitive cargo.

At SCBC, we clear the way before your cargo gets stuck — pre-filing document checks, real-time coordination with terminal operators, and proactive flagging of anything likely to trigger inspection.
