ICYMI: Nissan's first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the Philippines appears to have quietly been removed from the lineup, and we're guessing it's also to make way to the upcoming Primera midsize electric sedan which is set to launch locally before the year ends.

Geely Motor Philippines reached a milestone of selling more than 1,000 units in a single month in September 2026, ever since it transitioned to being a direct subsidiary of Geely Auto, with the EX2 as its best-seller.

Ford will be returning to the World Rally Championship in 2028 as a full factory works team, transitioning from its partnership with the M-Sport team. It will also be debuting an all-new WRC rally car based on an entirely new model in 2029, and five new models with "rally-bred DNA" are planned for production.

Tesla Philippines is now opening up more Destination Chargers and Superchargers around the country, with locations such as Baguio and Manila in the list. The latest to open is SM City Clark, which coincides with its pop-up experience at the mall from October 2 to 18.

ICYMI: BYD is now the second top-selling car brand in the country, beating Mitsubishi Motors for the month of August 2026, though the latter is still in second place overall for 2026 sales so far. Most automakers in the country have also seen sales go down, while electrified vehicles continue to grow.

For those who didn't know, Toyota has two joint venture partnerships in China: GAC and FAW. The former is reportedly set to take over FAW's stake, effectively merging the two and leaving GAC as Toyota's sole joint venture partner in China.
