This car came to us through a referral from a good friend of ours, already with the plan of installing coilovers and an adjustable rear camber kit. Madali lang ikabit ang coilover. Yung trabaho talaga starts once the car is back on the ground.

Once nakuha na yung ride height na gusto ng kotse and its coilover, doon na namin binase yung preload, damping, camber and toe.

At the rear, factory adjustment only gives you so much room. Once lowered, puwedeng dumami yung negative camber pero wala ka nang enough adjustment para ibalik kung saan mo gusto. That’s why we installed the adjustable rear camber kit / LCA, giving us the additional range to put the rear camber where we actually want it.

This 1G Eclipse came to us already running a modified front-mount intercooler setup. Originally, the turbo 1G came with a side-mount intercooler, tucked away at the side of the car. Somewhere along the way, that was replaced with a much larger FMIC across the front.

Because of the conversion, the intercooler piping had to be rerouted. One section now runs underneath the front of the car before making its way back toward the engine. Okay on the road, but this particular Eclipse is used for rallying, so anything sitting that low eventually becomes something you have to think about.

So we fabricated an aluminum underbody guard covering two vulnerable areas: the aftermarket intercooler piping and the engine sump. If the piping takes a hard hit during an event and opens up, the car can lose boost and potentially be unable to continue. If the sump takes the hit instead, you now have a much more serious problem involving engine oil.

Magkano ang tow truck pauwi from an event dahil tinamaan yung intercooler piping at hindi na ma-drive yung kotse? Or magkano ang oil pan, oil, repair, and possible engine damage kapag nabasag yung sump dahil walang protection?

We last worked on this Raptor in July 2025.

Back then, the owner brought us an aFe Power intercooler, charge pipes and methanol components. We handled the installation, plumbing and wiring, then fabricated the aluminium panels and mounting for the tank.

It came back covered in sponsors and wearing a colour-changing wrap that changes tone depending on where the light hits it. Drive it around Manila and, surprisingly, mga bata talaga unang nakakapansin. You see them staring habang dumadaan ka.

421 days later, nakita namin ulit yung old work namin. Nandun pa rin. Exactly where we left it.

This time, the Raptor came back for a completely different project. Unfortunately, that part of the story I can’t tell you.

First, fuel.

This thing drinks fuel like a cat na kakakain lang. Tapos maya-maya, nakatingin na naman sa’yo na parang hindi mo siya pinakain.

Three fill-ups so far. Every time I’m at the gas station: “Blaze lang po. Gasoline. Please, huwag diesel.” Yes. Gasoline Raptor ’to. V6.

Then there’s the size. Dito mo talaga marerealize kung gaano kalaki ang Raptor. Some drive-throughs I simply don’t bother with.

Being approximately the size of a small barangay does have one advantage. Motorcycles sometimes can’t squeeze past the right side. Pagtingin mo sa mirror, may maliit nang collection sa likod. Being this big means you bring your own traffic.

In a sports car, the speed makes sense. In the Raptor, it feels like the entire house just moved.

You feel the rear squat, the chassis load up, and the whole truck just launches forward. For something this big and heavy, it has no business moving that quickly.

Ang laki. Ang bigat. Pero bakit ganito kabilis!

Client was referred by Autoclinic after purchasing a set of ST XTA coilovers from them, then brought the Lexus here for the complete installation and suspension setup.

He stayed with us that morning so we could go over the ride height together and make the adjustments while he was around.

Medyo humaba rin yung kwentuhan habang ginagawa yung setup. Napunta sa different cars he’s owned, some of his experiences with them, and eventually sa ibang fabrication and custom work we do here at the shop. Next thing you know, hindi na kotse yung pinag-uusapan namin. Napunta na sa life, work, and everything in between. 😅

Autoclinic also gave us a heads-up about the factory motorized unit on the stock suspension. With the ST XTA installed, we could either tuck and secure it cleanly, or retain it using a custom bracket.

Since we fabricate brackets in-house, both options were available depending on how the owner wanted the setup finished.
