“Restricted Performance” is one of the most common warnings we see in the Britpart PH workshop on Land Rover vehicles.

In many cases, it’s the vehicle protecting itself after detecting an issue related to airflow, turbo pressure, throttle body buildup, sensors, EGR, or intake system faults.

Most people don't think twice about AC oil.
But on a hybrid Land Rover, it's one of the most important fluids in the vehicle.

Hybrid AC compressors run on high-voltage electricity, not a belt. That means they need a specific dielectric oil designed to insulate, not just lubricate.

👉Put in the wrong type and you're not just risking a warm cabin. You're looking at electrical insulation breakdown, reduced system efficiency, and eventually, a compressor that fails before its time.

It's a small detail with a very expensive consequence.
